A troll is a supernatural being in Norse mythology and Scandinavian folklore. They are most commonly known to hide under bridges, and since roughly the 2000's have found access to the internet. Today Segasky aka Skyler (best known for our "Top 5 games fans like that are really terrible") joins us to discuss why comments sections seem to always have haters in them. Plus we all bring to the show our own personal favourite hate comment we have received. Plus while Donnie rests from his win last week, a viewer gets the chance to represent The Sonic Show comments section and play Sabotage Skyler! And as always we jump into Uncle Poxxys helpline.
How old are you? Let me just explain that I am 28 and when I was a teenager, the community looked very different. Fansites out the wazoo, "figure heads" of the community. It was a lovely time, forward over a decade later and what do we have? Fansites other than the top tier have died out, forums are barely existent like they use to be. Is that the community has died, due to things like "glory" years of Sonic going and kids now growing up with games like Rise of Lyric, or is just the community does need to exist in the form it use to? Why have a close knit group of people when you have social media and things like twitter. Things that didnt exist back then? It's with great pleasure we get to discuss this with Sonic Yoda and Roareye Black. The first ran one of original Sonic fansites while the latter was part of The Sonic Stadium team, owner of the original Sonic Sprites Network and cohost on of the communities first online radio shows, "The Sonic Hour" We play Defeat Donnie which has a result you will NOT be expecting. And we call the Uncle Poxxy hotline and find out if it's ok to ship Dragon Ball Z with Sonic and which Sonic character we would like under the covers!

A silly question maybe to some. We see the fanboys everywhere, but with the recent news that a YouGov poll found more women to be fans of Sonic than men, we were just curious where are they? Is the Sonic community too male focused. How many female Sonic youtubers or podcasters do you see? Why does the female voice seem that bit quieter? Maybe it's because the female audience express their fandom is more artistic less "look at me" ways, maybe it's because this poll was wildly wrong. All we know is, what better group of people to discuss than a podcast of 5 men. cough Also we have the worlds MOST TENSE DEFEAT DONNIE EVER! Did you know there was company that makes glasses has released Sonic branded ones? Neither did we. Because it's super boring and dull. It's almost as though we recorded this episode a week ago at the same time at episode 10 because we were on holiday this week.
