Day 239 | Hezekiah brings back the Passover Festival in Judah | 2 Corinth 1: When Jesus says YES Aug 27, 2026

Day 239 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. Hezekiah becomes king and quickly cleans up the temple, reviving the religious practices that his dad messed up. He invites everyone, even Israelites from the North, to come to Jerusalem for a huge Passover celebration. Then they smash all the idols and false altars. In 2 Corinthians, Paul defends his actions and intentions, saying he's always been honest and straightforward. He explains that his change in travel plans wasn't to trick them but due to circumstances, and emphasizes that God is faithful and all promises find their 'Yes' in Jesus.

Day 238 | Evil King Ahaz rules in Judah | 2 Corinthians: An Introduction Aug 26, 2026

Day 238 of the One Year Audio Bible Experience. Uzziah becomes a strong king but gets proud and tries to burn incense in the temple, leading to leprosy. His son Jotham does well but doesn't remove the high places. Ahaz, Jotham's son, goes full-on evil, worshipping idols and even sacrificing his own child, causing Judah's defeat by enemies. In 2 Corinthians, Paul greets the Corinthians and talks about God being the source of all comfort. He shares how he faced troubles in Asia but was comforted by God. Paul urges the Corinthians to pray for him and reassures them that their prayers help during his hardships.

Day 236 | Evil Queen Athaliah | Priest Jehoiada reinforces the Temple | 1 Corinth 16: Our New bodies Aug 24, 2026

Day 236 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. Jehoram becomes king, does evil, and dies a painful death. His son Ahaziah follows in wickedness and is killed. Athaliah, Ahaziah's mother, takes over but is overthrown by the priest Jehoiada, who makes Joash king. Joash starts ruling well as a child, guided by God's laws. In 1 Corinthians, Paul explains that our bodies must change to enter God's kingdom, and victory over death is assured through Jesus. He then instructs the Corinthians to set aside money each week for the church in Jerusalem, stressing that the gifts should be ready when he arrives.

Day 235 | God fights a battle for King Jehoshaphat | 1 Corinthians 15: New bodies after death Aug 23, 2026

Day 235 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. Ahab dies in a fight, and Jehoshaphat goes back home. Jehoshaphat makes good changes to follow God better but is then threatened by a big group of enemies. He prays to God, who tells him what to do. Jehoshaphat and his people sing songs to God, and the enemies are beaten without them having to fight. They even find treasures left behind by the enemies. In 1 Corinthians, Paul answers questions about how the dead are raised and what they will look like. He compares our earthly bodies to seeds that grow into something beautiful. Our bodies now are like Adam's, made from dust, but they will be changed to be like Jesus's heavenly body.

Day 232: Rehoboam rules over Judah | 1 Corinthians 14: Spiritual gifts to help the Church Aug 20, 2026

In 1 Corinthians, Paul encourages believers to pursue love and seek gifts that build up the church, especially prophecy.
