Day 345 | Queen Vashti refuses the King | Esther becomes Queen. Revelation 3: Sardis Dec 11, 2025
    Show notes

Day 345 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.

In Esther 1-2:1-18, King Ahasuerus throws a big party, but Queen Vashti refuses to come when called. The king gets upset and looks for a new queen. Esther, a young Jewish girl, is chosen for her beauty and kindness. She hides her Jewish identity. Esther finds favor with the king and becomes the new queen, but she doesn't tell him she's Jewish. This sets the stage for some important events that will happen later.

In Revelation 3:1-6, Jesus sends a message to the church in Sardis. He tells them they look alive, but they are actually spiritually weak. Jesus urges them to strengthen what remains of their faith and to remember and obey what they have learned. He promises that those who stay strong in their faith and overcome sin will be dressed in white and will not be erased from the Book of Life. Jesus encourages them to listen to the Holy Spirit.

Day 342 | Zechariah has more visions with the Angels | Jude: Introduction Dec 08, 2025
    Show notes

Day 342 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.

In Zechariah 5-8, God sends visions to Zechariah, a prophet. These visions are full of symbols and messages, like a flying scroll representing God's judgment against sin and a woman in a basket symbolizing wickedness being removed. God promises to bless and protect His people if they follow His ways. He talks about a future of peace and prosperity, where different nations will join in worshiping God. These chapters remind us that God wants to remove bad things and bring good things to those who are faithful.

The book of Jude in the Bible is a short letter warning Christians about false teachers who were spreading wrong teachings and living immorally. Jude urges believers to stay strong in their faith, pray, and keep God's love in their hearts. He reminds them that God will judge all, including those who mislead others. It's a message about staying true to what you know is right and helping others do the same.

Zechariah 4 presents a vision of a golden lampstand and two olive trees, representing God's Spirit empowering Zerubbabel to rebuild the temple. These chapters teach about God's care, forgiveness, and the power of His Spirit to accomplish great things.

3 John 1:1-14 is a personal letter written by John, a leader in the early Christian church, to his friend Gaius. In this letter, John praises Gaius for being faithful and kind, especially to fellow Christians, even those he doesn't know. Day 339 | Daniel ends with a final vision from the angels | 1 John 5: Eternal Life Dec 05, 2025
    Show notes

Day 339 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.

Daniel 11:36 to 12 is about a proud king who doesn't follow God's laws. He will be powerful but will eventually be defeated. Daniel 12 talks about a difficult time coming, but God's people who remain loyal to Him will be saved. It ends with a promise that Daniel will rest and then rise again at the end of days.

1 John 5:1-21 teaches that if we believe Jesus is the Son of God, we are God's children. Loving God means loving His children and following His commands, which are not burdensome. It also says that Jesus came to us by water and blood, and the Holy Spirit tells us this is true. The passage emphasizes that God's testimony is greater than human testimony. It assures us that if we believe in the Son of God, we have eternal life. The letter ends by advising us to stay away from anything that takes God's place in our hearts.

    Show notes

Day 338 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.

Daniel 11 is a chapter in the Bible where the prophet Daniel receives a detailed vision about future kings and battles. It predicts conflicts between the "King of the North" and the "King of the South," referring to rulers and nations in those directions from Israel. This vision is often seen as a prophecy about events that would happen many years after Daniel's time. It's a complex chapter showing God's knowledge of future events.1 John 4:7-21 talks about the importance of loving one another. It says that love comes from God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The passage teaches that God showed His love by sending His Son into the world so that we could have life through Him. It emphasizes that if we love one another, God lives in us. The main message is that loving others is a key part of knowing and showing God's love.

    Show notes

Day 337 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.

In Daniel 9:20-11:1, Daniel prays to God for his people, confessing their sins and asking for mercy. While he's praying, the angel Gabriel comes to him and explains that God has a special plan for the future. Day 336 | Daniel prays to the Lord | 1 John 3: We are God's children Dec 02, 2025
    Show notes

Day 336 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. Daniel prays to the Lord. 1 John 3: We are God's children

In Daniel 8:15-9:19, Daniel has a vision about a ram and a goat, which he doesn't understand. The angel Gabriel explains that the vision is about future kings and kingdoms. Later, Daniel prays to God, confessing sins and asking for mercy for himself and his people. This shows Daniel's deep concern for his people and his trust in God's forgiveness and guidance.

In 1 John 2:28-3:10, it's explained that if we stay connected to Jesus, we'll be confident and unashamed when He returns. It talks about how much God loves us, making us His children, and how this should change us to live righteously. It also distinguishes between God's children and those who follow sin, emphasizing that living in sin is not compatible with following Jesus. This passage encourages us to live as children of God, showing His love and righteousness in our lives.
