    The On-Call Room: A Grey’s Anatomy Podcast

Do you feel like one episode of Grey’s Anatomy a week just isn’t enough to get you through? Well pour yourself a glass of wine (or a shot of tequila – we’re not picky) and join veteran Grey’s fans Abbey Moore and Bri Babbitt to discuss, dissect and indulge in chatter of your favorite characters, heartbreaking moments and everything in between.

We will be re-watching the entire series starting with Season 1 Episode 1 – and encourage you to do the same. You won’t be sorry! Or you might, but we will just forget that. Just like we did with the musical episode in Season 7.

Be warned! From the very beginning this is a spoilers podcast. We reference the entire show and everything that has happened through to current Greys. We do not recommend listening if this is your first time watching the show.

    S6 E7-E8: I'm Just Great with Amanda Scrubbing In! Jun 26, 2019
Show notes This week we have the lovely Amanda scrubbing in all episode, from start to finish! She loves Vegas, she loves cats, and she is a bright ray of sunshine in this gloomy June. Abbey tells us all about her Tony times and we are all very jealous. Check her out in Vogue. She is the one who looks like the alien from signs.
Derek does the impossible, and removes an inoperable tumor, while saving a spinal cord. Basically, he is God. Arizona receives 25 MILLION Dollars for being a dope ass pediatric surgeon. Everyone is going rogue and there are too many Jumanji drums.
If you don't give a shit about our life updates (understandable) hit play at 42:21 where we start our Grey's discussion.

    S6 E5-E6: This is the Life Jun 19, 2019
Show notes First and foremost Happy Pride! Second, if you don't like musicals, don't listen to this episode (or let's be clear, probably most episodes), but especially this one. Abbey is going to the Tony's and Bri sings most of the soundtrack of Moulin Rouge.
We have the lovely Laura leave a voicemail about her thoughts on episode 5 and Callie's story-line of coming out. If you have thoughts on an episode make sure to call and leave a message!
The biggest story line of these two episodes is the merger. We are introduced to many new patients some good (Jackson) some annoying (Reed). They invade the hospital with their orange scrubs and zones in the E.R. Also, April gets fired for fucking up, surprise...this won't be the first time.

S6 E3-E4: BJ and the Old Hands Jun 12, 2019
Show notes Welcome back to another episode of The On Call Room where "Derek is smug" and "Chief is really angry" (those statements coming directly from our notes on the episodes).
Other than Derek walking around the hospital comforting coworkers Chief has just fired through an e-mail, we also have Callie showing up asking for her job back (spoiler alert she gets it, and a promotion), Cristina fighting for surgeries, and Izzie working too hard in her wig.
Thatcher shows up with liver failure and pukes blood on Meredith's shoes. It is pretty gross. Lexie offers her liver but she doesn't have the right blood, or liver juices, so she asks Meredith to do the transplant. After walking back and forth in a hallway while Cristina and Derek look with concern from afar, she decides to do it.
In other important news, Abbey cut her hair. It looks great.

    S6 E1-E2: We're Back From Cabo Jun 05, 2019
Show notes Welcome back listeners to Season 6 of The On Call Room! We have some exciting news this season, so make sure to hit play on the episode!
We pick up this season right where we left off, with George dead from a bus. These first two episodes are about grief and how we process the loss of a loved one. It is heavy and emotional and giving us GGB's right out of the gate!
We are so happy to be back and can't wait for everything Season 6 has to bring!

    FAN FICTION May 01, 2019
Show notes You're welcome listeners. This week we are providing a Bonus Episode to ALL of the listeners. Back when we were young (we didn't just write these...I promise) Abbey wrote fan fiction about Harry Potter and I (Bri) wrote fan fiction about Orlando Bloom. It is embarrassing, and at times cringe worthy, but we are all about vulnerability and laughs on this podcast...so before we take a little podcast break, we give you FAN FICTION.

    Season 5 GGB Awards Apr 24, 2019
Show notes Welcome back to the second annual (whoops there was no Season 4) GGB Awards. You made your voices heard, you voted, and we are giving you your results! If you're pissed you didn't get to vote this time around, make sure you head over to www.patreon.com/theoncallroom and donate today! That will ensure you get all the perks and benefits for next season.

    S5 E23-E24: Take Her on Vaction Apr 17, 2019
Show notes I don't know if we are ready to say goodbye, but we have no other choice.
These two episodes are packed with drama, GGBs, heartbreak, and death. That is right Grey's BB's this week on the podcast we say goodbye to George O'Malley. He was a good doctor, who was kind and gentle, quiet, and then got hit by a bus and died. Goodbye forever George.
Izzie can't remember a damn thing after having part of her brain removed...which when you put it that way, kind of makes sense. Then Karev says some shitty things to her, and she stops restartting her memory...classic. But, everyone is happy cause she remembers...and then she codes.
This of course is all happening while we find out that the person who got hit by the bus, was George. Izzie walks to the elevator...she gets on...the doors open..and there is GEORGE. Tears. GGBs. One of the best scenes we have ever had on Grey's.
Another 10 out of 10 scalpels!

    S5 E22: It's Just Relationships Apr 10, 2019
Show notes This episode is big. It is one of the biggest of our lives. We didn't know it was going to be one of the biggest of our lives. If you don't get that reference, go and read the monologue. But truly this is an episode jam packed with GGB's and all the things that make it a classic Grey's episode.
Callie and Arizona are struggling with their relationship, because Callie's bank account has been wiped clean and she is embarrassed that she has no money. George is calling time of death on patient after patient in the pit. He is discouraged, but Owen has a pretty sick teaching moment, encouraging George that by him doing the shit work, Owen could save a life...or something.
Derek and Meredith are getting ready for their big day, until Izzie starts seeing Denny again and realizes her tumor is back. Derek does some scans, and finds out that it is in fact a tumor, and he is unable to remove it. So, instead of Derek and Meredith getting married...IZZIE AND KAREV DO. What joy! What surprise! What tears!
This episode is a 10 out of 10 scalpels folks! You don't get that very often!

S5 E20-E21: This is Shark Tank with Rex Scrubbing In! Apr 03, 2019
Show notes Izzie is not well and because of this she gets to plan Meredith and Derek's wedding. She goes ham, and creates an extravagant event that does not reflect Mer or Der in the least...but she has cancer so they go with it.
Owen is in therapy, naming feelings. This is good. He needs therapy.
Everyone is sorry, and everyone is asking for forgiveness, including Thatcher. He is newly sober and back to ask Mer and Lexie for forgiveness. This sends Mer into a spiral of yelling at a victim of abuse. Which leads to Chief screaming at Mer behind a curatin.
Afterward, Chief and Mer have a wonderful reconciliation moment. They have the sweetest head on the shoulder scene that melts our hearts.

S5 E19: This is Donna with Caty Scrubbing In! Mar 27, 2019
Show notes This week Abbey and Bri say one final farewell to Donna. After searching for any piece of information to solve the puzzle of Donna, they find a way to let her go. They also talk about the saddest moments in movies...for way too long.
As for this episode of Grey's, Derek shaves, which in this world means that he now has his brain surgery super powers back. He performs surgery on Izzie and to no one's surprise he crushes it.
No one is there for Izzie because everyone is weirded out she is sick, and they don't know how to potentially handle loosing her. Bailey teaching moment to everyone, telling them to show up next time and do better. We all agree.
AND THEN ELEVATOR LOVE PROPOSAL! Derek is so ready to commit himself to Meredith and she is so ready to do the same. We have been waiting for five seasons for this to happen, and we wouldn't have had it any other way.
