Ikard and Lehman give their “Winners & Losers of the Weekend”: Florida handled Auburn 44-39 fueled by 243 from the dynamic combo of Jadan Baugh and Duke Clark, Kentucky capitalized on Marcel Reed's mistakes and shocked Texas A&M 31-21 at Kyle Field, Louisville got a 41-31 win over SMU that has huge implications in the ACC and Texas Tech held off Houston to win 28-26 in a huge Big 12 matchup.

OU Football Loses 17-10 to Michigan + Oklahoma State STUNS Oregon & Texas's Comeback on Ohio State Sep 13, 2026

Gabe Ikard and Teddy Lehman recap OU football’s 17-10 loss to Michigan on September 12, 2026. They discuss a solid but not dominant effort from the Sooners defense. While Brent Venables' defense only allowed 17 points, they had several missed tackles and never forced Michigan QB Bryce Underwood to have to beat them from the pocket. They also discuss teh incredibly disappointing performance from OU's offense. Sooners QB John Mateer struggled in the passing game and the overall game plan was a strange departure from what we saw from Oklahoma in week 1. They recap the best games of week 2 of college football: a shocking 39-31 win for Oklahoma State over Oregon and an improbable comeback 24-23 win for Texas over Ohio State . Ikard and Lehman give their “Winners & Losers of the Weekend”: Mississippi State handled Minnesota 38-13, we all were confused by the NFL rule that made Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff's backwards pass not a fumble eliminating a touchdown for the New Orleans Saints, Missouri beat Kansas 38-21 in the Border War & Kentucky was blown out 45-17 by Alabama despite leading 17-13 at halftime.

They break down the X's and O's of OU's defense vs. the Michigan offense and the Sooners offense vs. the Wolverines defense.

1:26 OU's defense needs to be ready to play "big boy football" against a Michigan offense they will be trying to prove their physicality on the line of scrimmage and will feed RB Jordan Marshall

6:11 Sooners defense must contain designed runs for Michigan QB Bryce Underwood and must hit him hard when he does carry the ball

11:02 OU's defense must collapse the pocket, contain Bryce Underwood and force him to read coverage and throw from the pocket. They can't give Underwood escape lanes to scramble.

15:24 Bryce Underwood will make a poor decision and throw OU's defense the ball at some point and the Sooners need to catch it!

The Oklahoma Sooners showcased their new look offense by playing nearly the entire game in 12 personnel (1 running back, 2 tight ends). QB John Mateer delivered a solid performance and the Sooners run game was solid even though it didn’t produce the number of explosive runs they want. Defensively, the Sooners gave up a little more than they wanted to the Miners offense but they were able to still produce a shoutout.
