    The Ocoee Massacre

    The Ocoee Massacre podcast is the audio series companion to the Ocoee Massacre documentary produced by WFTV Channel 9 Eyewitness News in Orlando, Florida.

    The podcast is a journey behind the scenes with the journalists who examine the bloodiest day in U.S. political history. Black families were forced to leave after the massacre left an unknown number of Blacks dead, July Perry was lynched, and homes and other property were destroyed. The first Black family didn’t return until 1976.

    The Ocoee Massacre podcast is hosted by Vanessa Echols in collaboration with executive producer, Daralene Jones.
