Merry Christmas 3: ‘The Meaning Of Christmas’ Dec 15, 2022

This week on The Obsessed Podcast, we're playing a little bit of a Mariah Carey fantasy Christmas album game! In this game, we are creating Mariah's third (inevitable) Christmas album by choosing from iconic Christmas standards in the world's Christmas cannon. * The rules of this game go as so: There will only be 12 tracks for this album. Each of us brings six songs to the table (18 in total), and we must eliminate six of the 18 songs. If two of us have a matching song, it automatically goes onto the album. If there isn't a match, we rank each song without telling each other our rankings. At the end of our Christmas song lists, we tally up the rankings, and the highest ranked songs make our final Christmas album cut! * To take it a step further, we sequence the entire Christmas album, pick a lead single, name the album, and even pick a Japense bonus track for the Japanese lambs! * What is a Christmas standard that you would like to see Mariah cover in the future? For this week's episode on The Obsessed Podcast, we are doing a little bit of a catch-up episode on what's been happening with Mariah the past couple of weeks! Mariah has been out and about more than we've seen since Christmas - unofficially ending her quarantine era! So you know we gotta break down all these moments and looks!
