The Oak Island Podcast hits episode 8 with a special guest, the voice of the History Channel, Mr. Robert Clotworthy. You can hear the entire interview at the end of this episode, but first, the boys dive into season 7, episode 8 of The Curse of Oak Island. Billy, Jer, and Mike Z. deliver an art history lesson. The works of Nicolas Poussin are featured, in particular, the "Shepherds of Arcadia". The boys lay out the theory that the painter hid a secret code inside his paintings that point to the treasure on Oak Island. Once again, the Shakespeare theory is addressed. This concept has been brought up before on our show. Essentially, the theory was penned by Petter Amundsen. We even go to Shugborough Hall in Staffordshire, England. There you can find the monument dedicated to "The Shepherds of Arcadia" except there are some interesting twists. If you want to go beyond our discussion on this episode, check out our website. There you will find several links detailing this intriguing theory. We spend a great deal of time discussing the swamp, the picture, and the importance of Nolan's Cross. Just a reminder, stay tuned for the Robert Clotworthy interview at the end of the episode.
