🔥 Show #338 – The No Name RC Podcast | Robert Batlle Talks SWorkz, HotRace, Ultimate Racing & More 🔥
In this episode of the No Name RC Podcast, Lefty sits down for a full standalone interview with World Champion Robert Batlle to catch up on everything happening in his racing and business life.
Robert opens up about his first full year with SWorkz as both a driver and team manager, how the brand is growing globally, and what it takes to manage top-level drivers while still racing at the highest level himself. They also dig into car development in both 1/8 and 1/10 scale, including the upcoming SWorkz 2WD buggy and 4WD conversion platform.
The conversation goes deep into HotRace tire development, the massive R&D process behind compounds and tread patterns, and why tires play such a critical role in race performance. Robert also breaks down his Ultimate R36 “Bobby Batlle” nitro engine, focusing on smooth power delivery, long runtime, and real-world race performance.
They also talk about Robert’s 36 Mood webshop, his long-term career plans in RC beyond full-time racing, and how he balances racing, development, business, and family life. The episode wraps with a great discussion on Patreon, content creation, and what it really takes to survive in the RC industry long-term.
This is a real, honest look into what it means to be a modern professional in RC racing — not just on the track, but behind the scenes as well.
