🔥 KEELON RUSSELL’S BEST GAME YET?
Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Keelon Russell has been outstanding throughout the 2026 college football season, but Saturday night may have been his breakout performance. Russell completed 21-of-27 passes for a career-high 365 yards and four touchdowns while adding 35 rushing yards and another score in Alabama’s 49-18 win over South Carolina.
Through four games, Russell has thrown for 1,129 yards, eight touchdowns and just two interceptions while helping Alabama start 4-0. After taking over for former Crimson Tide quarterback Ty Simpson, has Russell made one of college football’s most difficult quarterback transitions look almost effortless?
We break down Russell’s development, his ceiling, and what his emergence could mean for Alabama’s College Football Playoff hopes.
🐘 HOW GOOD CAN ALABAMA’S OFFENSE BE?
The Alabama offense has been one of the most explosive units in college football through September.
The Crimson Tide has scored 48, 45, 50 and 49 points in its first four games, averaging 48.0 points per game — fourth-best nationally.
Can Kalen DeBoer’s offense maintain anything close to that pace once the SEC schedule gets tougher? What would be a realistic scoring average for Alabama by the end of the regular season, and just how dangerous can this offense become with Keelon Russell at quarterback?
🦅 AUBURN SURVIVES VANDERBILT — NOW WHAT?
The Auburn Tigers earned a much-needed Homecoming victory with a 21-15 win over the Vanderbilt Commodores, but it wasn’t always pretty.
Auburn finished with only 279 total yards and was outgained 311-279, but the Tigers’ defense delivered one of its better performances of the season, holding Vanderbilt to just one touchdown.
What did we learn about Alex Golesh’s Auburn Tigers, and can the offense find another gear before the schedule gets significantly more difficult?
😳 AUBURN’S BRUTAL OCTOBER IS HERE
Auburn is about to enter one of the toughest stretches anywhere in college football.
The Tigers face Tennessee, Georgia, LSU and Ole Miss during a brutal October SEC gauntlet. What should Auburn fans realistically expect from that four-game stretch? How many wins would represent a successful month — and what does Auburn need to improve immediately to compete with the SEC’s best teams?
🏆 SEC POWER RANKINGS AFTER ONE MONTH
It’s time to rank the SEC after the first month of the 2026 college football season.
Only Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State and Texas remain undefeated. Who belongs at the top of the conference entering October?
We debate where the Crimson Tide, Gators, Bulldogs, Longhorns, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, LSU, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Auburn and the rest of the SEC belong right now.
