In this episode I am covering the most famous pirate in history. Edward ‘Blackbeard’ Teach. He wasn’t born in North Carolina, but he lived here and he died here, so now he’s ours. I go over his very vague origin story and his arrival in the Americas. I then follow his steps into piracy and his rise to fame. Lastly, I cover his action packed last stand and talk about how Blackbeard has became part of American folklore. ALSO…at the end, there is a shocking new twist. Could the descendants of Blackbeard still be living in the Caribbean?
