    Show notes

Gabe and Joe kick off the final hour of the program discussing if there are really any other golfers they can get close to Tigers level during his prime years. They also wrap back around to some NBA talk, discussing tonight’s games and making their picks. Keeping with the gambling theme, the guys close out the show discussing tonight’s MLB slate and why betting on favorites in baseball can make you lose a ton of money.

4/15, Level 1: Tiger Wins Masters, NBA Playoffs, NFL Draft and more... Apr 15, 2019
    Show notes

Gabe Morency and Joe Raineri open up the program talking about Tiger Woods’ historic Masters win this past weekend. While Tiger sits atop the golf world now, Joe still doesn’t think that the now 5 time Masters champion will strike fear into his opponents like he used to in the mid 2000s. Gabe owns up to his Raptors pick after they fell to the Magic in Toronto on a DJ Augustin 3 with seconds left to steal game one. Gabe still thinks that the Raptors will win the series and advance to the next round. The NFL Draft is rapidly approaching and Gabe and Joe still don’t think that the Cardinals will be taking Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray with the number 1 overall pick. They also discuss where Ohio St. quarterback Dwayne Haskins will end up, with Gabe thinking that he’d fit in, in Oakland.

Joe and Gabe talk with Teddy Covers, and get his top picks for the weekend between the Masters, NHL playoffs, and NBA playoffs. Speaking of the NBA playoffs, Gabe talks about DeMar Derozan, and Pop giving him the okay to shoot freely, being the x-factor in the Spurs road to the playoffs. Joe finds it interesting that the Blazers have lost 10 straight playoff games, including being swept out of the first round the past two years. Previewing the Sixers vs. Nets series, Gabe is convinced that despite their obvious talent, the Sixers are not a good enough team to go far in the playoffs.

Gabe and Joe agree that this, along with the first week of October, is the best week for sports (NBA playoffs, NHL playoffs, MLB, Masters). The guys talk about the Trivago spokesman being arrested to DUI, and talk about other brand spokespeople getting trouble with the law. The guys also say they are not fans of the company that made a condom box that can only be open with 4 hands, a way of proving consent.

Gabe and Joe chat with former Devils great Ken Daneyko about the NHL playoffs, how the pressure is on the Tampa Bay Lightning, and how he agrees the volume of a home arena does not tilt the hockey rink one way or another.
