Let’s be honest, busy moms of littles can run the world with their magical multitasking abilities, and sometimes they can use some backup! On this podcast Paige Killian, professional organizer, speaker, and mom of two, brings her elementary school teacher knowledge and organization skills to those busy moms. Her tangible advice and simplified 3-step strategy to getting organized in the style that works best for your family is served up in every episode with a side of faith and a mom story or two. Paige celebrates the organization ‘wins’ her clients experience and is there to offer tons of support when they feel defeated.

This mom life can be incredible and sometimes completely overwhelming. From a playroom disaster, to a closet explosion, or a mountain of Legos & and an endless pile of mail, Paige will help you get organized in 3 simple steps, because who has time for more than that?

So whether you’re a pretty organized person or find yourself riding the hot mess express train in your life, we could all use a healthy dose of organization and a whole lot of motivation! We hope you’ll find that here.

Ep 110: BOOK EXCERPT Your Twenty-Pound Burden Apr 18, 2022
    Show notes

The newest book excerpt I’m reading this week is all about identifying something that might be weighing you down and how we can fix it!

Everyone needs a good “Fixer Upper” reference with Chip and Joanna Gaines, right? I was doing a lot of HGTV binge watching while writing my book. I made a connection between Chip getting on a scale that said he was twenty pounds more than he felt he should be and a figurative twenty-pound burden we might be carrying around too.

Depending on what season we’re in like pregnancy, postpartum, the toddler phase, raising teenagers, starting a new job, growing a business, navigating personal struggles, or anything in between, it’s so important to give ourselves grace and ask for help when we don’t want to go it alone!

I’m here for the difficult conversations, shedding of layers that no longer serve us, and lightening the load life sometimes heaps upon us all at once.

    Highlights from this episode:

(01:27) “I’m just one stomach flu away from my goal weight”

    (03:34) Purging on autopilot is a game-changer

    (05:28) What’s your personal style?

(09:11) The style struggle is real!

(13:49) Dress like the person you want to be

(16:21) Becoming a Mom changes your body and mind

I hope this episode gives you renewed hope that you can be good to yourself during the tough times and lean on your people for support when you need it most. Not sure who your people are? I’m here for you! You’re not in this alone. Head over to EverythingWithStyle.com to download your newly updated 3 E’s Checklist to make it all a little easier.

The book will be available on Amazon at the end of April! Details are on my website.

Ep 109: BOOK EXCERPT Organize on Autopilot Apr 11, 2022
    Show notes

This week’s excerpt comes from a chapter filled with many ways to keep up with organization systems you’ve put in place without even thinking about it!

When you’re a multitasking supermom, you’re often doing all the things that need attention with your kids, in your home, perhaps at work, chauffeuring kids around in your car, doing laundry, & even grocery shopping for the week on autopilot.

Why not use that superpower to stay organized?

I’m offering lots of examples in this chapter of my book and couldn’t help but pull a teaser of it with some softball/baseball references since we are in the middle of that season with my son and because I love a good sports analogy!

    Highlights from this episode:

(02:30) We are what we repeatedly do

(06:53) Be an example to your kids

(10:32) The joy of making beds

(15:45) A busy mom’s job is never done

(21:12) Purge before birthdays and holidays

    (24:41) Play to your strengths

    Mentioned on this episode:

    Ep 3: Organize on Autopilot

    Ep 98: The 1% Rule

I hope this episode encourages you to put in some effort in the beginning and enjoy the many benefits of organizing on autopilot!

Head over to EverythingWithStyle.com to find out more about my book available April 25, 2022 on Amazon!

Ep 108: BOOK EXCERPT The Option of Organization Apr 04, 2022
    Show notes

Thrilled to share this first excerpt from my book that’ll be available this month! My passion is helping busy moms of littles get organized and asking for help along the way.

This week I’m sharing how we made organization an option for our family ever since they were very young. The book begins with Duke exclaiming, “I’m organizing!” His joyful energy spent grouping pods into our coffee drawer upon the arrival of our groceries was so exciting. He carefully lined the rows with regular and decaf, proudly displaying his completed task.

He had watched us do this and other household organizing jobs his whole life…all two and a half years. He couldn’t wait to lend a helping hand! This chapter talks about the importance of giving our kids the option of growing up with organization practices and systems put in place. It not only benefits them, teaching responsibility and respect, but the whole family as well.

    Highlights from this episode:

    (00:54) A labor of love

(03:17) Writing is like therapy for the author

    (06:37) Organization is not perfection

(08:55) Teaching what an organized life can look like

    Mentioned of this episode:

    Ep 46: Making Your Bed

    Ep 73: Less is More

I hope this episode encourages you to make organization an option for your family! More details about the book and new excerpts coming next week.

    Ep 102: A Reflection of You Feb 21, 2022
    Show notes

Inspired by my Mom’s words, “Your home is a reflection of you,” I’m sharing how organization in my home reflects my style today.

Yes, I’ve always been a pretty organized and tidy person, but my home has had its seasons of disorganized and messy too. Our homes say a lot about our style, what our current priorities are, and how willing we are to keep it up, let it go, or ask for help in getting things done. There’s no right or wrong, just different styles, and that’s okay!

I’m sharing a recent family event, Superbowl Sunday, to describe how my home currently reflects the way I’ve organized our home and how it’s working well and allowing for grace when I can’t do it all!

    Highlights from this episode:

(03:14) This one’s for my Mom

(06:32) A kitchen good enough for a chef

    (12:51) Never underestimate a label

    (16:10) I love organizing garages!

    Ep 55: Laundry Room Organization

    Ep 58: Under-the-Stairs Closet Organization
