Takeaways from Michigan's appearance at Big Ten Media Days Jul 27, 2023

Show notes

In this episode, Zach Shaw and Alejandro Zúñiga break down their biggest takeaways from their time covering Michigan at the 2023 Big Ten Media Days.

They begin with a look at the potential suspension that Jim Harbaugh could be facing pending an NCAA investigation. Though Harbaugh was unsurprisingly tight-lipped about the ongoing investigation, they look at what Blake Corum, Mike Sainristil and Kris Jenkins had to say about a potential suspension, and the impact it would have on the team. They also address why Michigan's mentality also helps them be unfazed by being preseason Big Ten favorites and other potential distractions.

The two then turn the attention to other topics from media days. Included is an early look at Michigan's competitive position battles, Jim Harbaugh's adoration for JJ McCarthy, Blake Corum's confident return and Harbaugh's remarks about the transfer portal and Cade McNamara.

Finally, they look at players who could change the narratives of their career with a strong summer cycle, and close by picking the most underrated players on offense and defense for the Wolverines.
