Despite losing Caleb Williams and a number of playmakers, the Trojans remain one of the most productive offenses in college football. What should the Wolverines expect from QB Miller Moss, speedster Zachariah Branch and the Lincoln Riley offense? On defense, USC has made significant changes under new coaching following a disastrous 2023. Is that enough to stop Alex Orji and the Wolverines?

In this episode, Zach Shaw and Steve Lorenz recap the Michigan football team's 28-18 win over Arkansas State, a game that showed both good and bad for the Wolverines.

They open with a look at Michigan’s offense. They discuss the value of the Wolverines finding their run game, to the tune of 300 rushing yards, and the breakout game of Kalel Mullings. They also discuss Michigan’s three interceptions, and how that not only hamstrung its offense, but re-opened the quarterback battle and discussion. They also look at the Wolverines’ performances at offensive line and wide receiver.

In the second half of the episode, they look at the defense, which had three very good quarters, and one bad one. They discuss a potential depth problem on defense, some bad penalties and a growing punting problem. They also look at how Saturday’s game moved the needle in their expectations for Michigan’s matchup against No. 13 USC next week.

Michigan-Arkansas State preview: How can the Wolverines make the most of their get-back weekend? Sep 12, 2024

In this episode, Zach Shaw and Steve Lorenz discuss what the Michigan football team can and should show in its final non-conference matchup against Arkansas State.

They open with a look at Michigan’s struggling offense. They discuss what the Wolverines’ offensive line must show to lead the offense’s rebuild. They look at what has plagued the line so far, as well as what players and coaches have said needs to change. They then turn their attention to the skill positions, and some of the key players that Michigan will try to get into a groove on Saturday.

In the second half of the episode, they look at the Wolverines’ defense. They discuss a get-back game that Michigan’s secondary and linebackers will have in coverage, as well as a game where Michigan’s defensive play-callers will try to figure out what pressures and blitzes work best for this year’s defense.

Along the way, they offer prop-bet picks for various facets of the game, and close with their final score prediction for the game.
