The Anomaly Files: The U.S. Government's Pursuit of the Unexplained | MHP 03.31.25. Apr 01, 2025

Show notes

For many decades, agencies within the United States government have collected information on a range of different unexplained phenomena. From military encounters involving UFOs, to possible evidence of ancient mysteries collected during reconnaissance missions by spy planes, several examples of the U.S. government's "anomaly files" have been made public through inquiries under the Freedom of Information Act.

This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we look at the Defense Department's current investigations into unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), along with questions that remain about one of its most famous cases. Finally, we also explore claims revealed in CIA files involving remote viewing, the discovery of the mythical "Ark of the Covenant," and an anomaly spotted on a mountainside in Turkey during Cold War-era CIA spy plane reconnaissance flights.

Have you had a UFO/UAP sighting? Please consider reporting your sighting to the UAP Sightings Reporting System, a public resource for information about sightings of aerial phenomena.

The JFK Files: The CIA and the Birth of the Deep State | MHP 03.25.25. Mar 25, 2025

Show notes

On November 22, 1963, John F. Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States, became the victim of an assassin's bullet during a motorcade visit through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas. Although the Warren Commission later concluded Kennedy's assassination had been the work of one man, Lee Harvey Oswald, questions have remained about what other information might remain in holdings of the intelligence community.

Last week, the latest in an ongoing declassification of records related to the assassination made additional JFK files available to the public. On this episode of The Micah Hanks Program, we look at what the new documents reveal about Kennedy's death, the CIA and Cold War espionage, the birth of the "Deep State," and also claims that UFOs may have been somehow linked to Kennedy's untimely death in 1963.

Non-Human Intelligence: A Strategy for Research | MHP 03.18.25 Mar 19, 2025

Show notes

It is one of the greatest questions humankind has ever faced: are we alone in the cosmos? If alien life on other worlds exists, are there intelligent forms that may be capable of communication? Or is it even possible that some form of non-human intelligence might already be present closer to Earth than we realize?

This week on The Micah Hanks Program, in our ongoing discussions about the possibility of exotic life forms and the possibility of non-human intelligence, we discuss a potential strategy for research that examines where life might be found, in what forms it may appear, and whether it could be lurking nearby unrecognized by modern science.

Show notes

In late 2019, residents of Colorado and Nebraska were perplexed by a sudden wave of mystery drone sightings that, to date, remain unexplained. The bizarre incidents led to widespread concern among locals in many rural midwestern communities, which bore an undeniable similarity to recent sightings of mystery drones in the skies over New Jersey that captivated the nation.

Jacques Vallée: In Pursuit of Forbidden Science | MHP 02.25.25. Feb 25, 2025

Show notes

Few have worked longer and with more passion toward understanding the unexplained than astronomer, computer scientist, and internet pioneer Jacques Vallée, who for most of his life has pursued the "forbidden science" of unidentified aerial phenomena. A scientist, researcher, and author of an impressive number of non-fiction and fiction offerings, Vallée's latest work, Forbidden Science 6: Scattered Castles, represents the most recent installment of his personal journals.

This week on The Micah Hanks Program, Dr. Vallée returns to the show to share his latest research, and reflections on years of study that are presented in his latest volume of published journals. We discuss Dr. Vallée's time working with the AAWSAP program, how he and his colleagues searched for access to alleged UAP technologies recovered by the U.S. government, advanced concepts like the "Meta-system" of UAP technology, and much more with one the true living legends of modern UAP studies.

The UFO Messengers of Deception | 02.18.25. Feb 18, 2025

Show notes

For decades, belief in unidentified aerial phenomena has found its way into the ideas espoused by a number of religious and political groups, as well as other organizations with unusual backgrounds. In his landmark analysis of this aspect of modern UFO-related beliefs, computer scientist Jacques Vallee argued in his 1979 book Messengers of Deception that such beliefs could play a key role in understanding both the phenomenon itself, as well as how it may be used by such groups as a control mechanism. But could the same things still be occurring today as well?

This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we compare recent events in the ongoing UAP whistleblower debate to Vallee's fundamental premise from decades ago; who are today's UFO messengers of deception, and for what purposes might any such group seek to control aspects of the popular UAP narrative?

Show notes

On Tuesday, Florida Representative Anna Paulina Luna announced the formation of a new government task force that aims to investigate and declassify U.S. government information on some of America's most perplexing secrets. Dubbed the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, the new effort will examine the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King, as well as questions involving UAP and USOs, the client list of Jeffery Epstein, COVID-19, and information related to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we provide analysis of the new task force, its official announcement, and several of the key topics it will aim to study. Will Luna's new task force succeed in bringing clarity to the unresolved questions surrounding these mainstays of American conspiracy culture?

The Summoners: Whistleblower Claims and the 'CE-5 Protocol' | MHP 01.28.25. Jan 29, 2025

Show notes

Claims involving an alleged secret government retrieval program continue to dominate the UAP discussion following the recent airing of an interview with Jacob Barber, a former USAF serviceman who alleges that he participated in a covert government operation that employed "psionics" to assist in summoning UAP. How much, if any, of Barber's claims are legitimate, and can be verified?

This week on The Micah Hanks Program, in our continuing analysis of Barber's claims, we look at new details that have come to light in a full-length interview that was released since his story surfaced, which includes Barber's retelling of how he met the controversial UAP disclosure activist Dr. Steven Greer. Where does the new information, including Barber's further beliefs involving Greer's "CE-5 protocol," leave us as far as the legitimacy of the latest alleged whistleblower claims?
