The F-5 Tiger pilot and midshipman, Sloppy and Andy, reunite on this season 1 review to discuss the omitted parts of their interviews and how the mishap still affects them over 13 years later.
Season 1 concludes with a description of the F/A-18 pilot involved in the mid-air collision, Jeremy "Suge" Wise, by his widow, Sonia.
This week we continue exploring the June 2008 mid-air collision from the perspective of Sloppy's wingman, "Guido," and the senior aviator airborne that day, "Size." Then the three investigations that follow any major naval aviation mishaps are discussed.
Last week we learned details of the mid-air collision from the F-5 crew's perspective, on episode 4 we hear from the F/A-18 flight lead, "Stickit," who lost his wingman in the mishap.
This week, Sloppy describes the fateful flight of June 13, 2008 from brief to the mid-air collision to parachuting safely to the desert floor below. Meanwhile, the midshipman in the F-5F Tiger II backseat struggles to maintain consciousness, let alone awareness of events transpiring around him.
In season one, episode two, we learn a bit more about Naval Air Station Fallon, Nevada and the advanced training that takes place there with guests Guido, Sloppy, Stickit, and OTO0L.

Season 1 is about a fatal mid-air collision between an F-5F Tiger and F/A-18C Hornet during a training exercise near Naval Air Station Fallon, NV. Over the following six episodes, the listener will learn why squadrons train in Fallon, who is based there and what training they provide, how the mishap occurred, and the result it had on those involved.
