Whether you LOVE reading with your kids, or kinda hate it- you won’t be able to stop listening to this episode! Today, we welcome Kim Christensen (@talkwordytome) to the show! She is a writer, reader, mother, blogger, entrepreneur and creator of Loom Journals. She’s been a journalist, radio talk show host and magazine editor! Basically… she knows her stuff. Kim is going to BLOW. OUR. MINDS. in this interview with incentives to read with our kids, as well as great tips on how to get started! We will give some really good ways to start NOW, and a great plan for success. We will talk about the importance of bonding through reading, sharing books we loved from our childhood with our own children, and the importance of reading from infancy! We will talk about ways to get older kids excited about reading, AND best of all… we will share our favorite children books! (okay, okay… just a few. This is like asking us to pick a favorite child!) So. We hope this episode leaves you feeling encouraged and ready to just get going on reading with your kids. It’s doable, and the benefits are astounding! (even if you have to read Peppa Pig in a british accent!) Also, it’s definitely okay to judge a book by it’s cover- did you know that?! We didn’t either until Kim came and laid it aaalllll out! So hit play and snuggle up with a good book… er… podcast! Cause you’ll love this one, Mama’s! As always, please let us know what you thought by leaving us a review (below), connecting with us on Instagram (@the.mamahood), or reaching out through email (themamahoodpodcast@gmail.com) We LOVE hearing your feedback!
