Episode 199.77: Pete's first impressions Dec 09, 2019

Show notes

Pete's been working with Niko Rosberg, a man with lovely soft hands, apparently. That, as is the custom for Luke and Pete, descends into a conversation about handshakes and after that we naturally sidestep into Janet Jackson, Jared Leto, The Big Breakfast (again) and The Beastie Boys. All separately, obviously.

There's plenty of chat from you guys too via your excellent emails, and if you want to send one of your own you can do so here: hello@lukeandpeteshow.com

The Luke and Pete Show is the sometimes ridiculous, always funny podcast with Luke Moore and Pete Donaldson: two men who have time on their hands and a good idea of how to waste it. Subscribe to get your comedy podcast fix every Monday and Thursday.

Episode 199.76: A Sense of Community Dec 05, 2019

Show notes

In the last of our much-vaunted, hugely well received Hands Across The Atlantic trilogy, Luke takes Pete through yet more Vermont news, including a story that is so far up Pete's street it might as well invent its own infant chip bowl helmet.

Elsewhere, there's news from the World Sauna Championships, Pete tells us all about a £1 a night hotel, we discuss the much-maligned Disney movie Song of the South, and we find out what Pete is looking for in a neighbourhood when he eventually decides to leave Soho.

Episode 199.75: Black Eye Friday Dec 02, 2019

Show notes

Luke's still in Vermont, but don't let that put you off. Today's episode comes in the form of an impromptu movie special, including thoughts on such titles as Big Trouble in Little China, Predator, Last Christmas and plenty more.

We also take the time to reminisce about Flavor of Love, the hugely memorable reality show featuring Flava Flav, wonder what the month of December will have in store for us all, and learn about the great northern tradition of Black Eye Friday. Stay safe, drinkers.

Show notes

Greetings not just from London but also from The Green Mountain State! That's right, although Pete (for once) is stuck in London, Luke is coming to you live and direct from Vermont ahead of Thanksgiving week.

In a world first for The Luke and Pete Show, our two eponymous manchildren shoot the breeze while 3,317 miles apart. But don't sweat, the chat is still as electric as ever and this week includes talk about trying to be cool in front of younger people, Reebok Pumps, and Pete's inability to stop talking about Milwaukee.

There's plenty of your stories too, and to have one considered for the show yourself, drop us a line: hello@lukeandpeteshow.com

Episode 199.73: Do you feel the power of the gladiators? Nov 25, 2019

Show notes

What's Pete's spirit animal? Another episode to brighten your Monday. Start the week with Rod Stewart's train set (sorry... model railway), Rick Stein's new food show and an explanation of the colour of eggs. Also, and we take no pleasure in saying it, but someone's been using nappies as tea towels...

Show notes

On this chilly November Monday, Luke & Pete are talking about their favourite interviews - Tom Cruise has been accused of trying to nick a packet of fags and Pete's had a boozy weekend in Helsinki. Couldn't get hold of a can of Stella for love nor money.

Show notes

Luke and Pete are back in the studio together for the first time in a week or so, and after their sojourn to the US and Canada. What have they learnt? Tune in to find out...

Pete's lost his laptop, he celebrated being back in the UK by eating in Hard Rock Cafe (obviously), and the boys discover a story about a puppy with a tail on its head. How cute. Elsewhere there's talk from listeners about secret families, there's Dads being weird and there's the great British tradition of clearing out the loft.
