    January 28, 2020 - Texas Basketball Continues to Struggle Jan 28, 2020
    Show notes

The Texas Longhorns' struggles on the hardwood continued, at least for the men, as their losing streak extended to three games after falling to the LSU Tigers during the Big 12/SEC Challenge. The Longhorns' look to be headed for another lost season, as they currently sit two games below .500 and will likely be underdogs for the rest of the season. On the women's side, Texas is flying high on a four-game win streak after a come-from-behind victory over the Oklahoma State Cowgirls. Connect with the show on Twitter and Facebook. January 23, 2020 - Ground Game Retrospective Jan 23, 2020
    Show notes

The Texas Longhorns found some success on the ground this season, but the production in the ground game could not be called consistent. With injuries leaving Keaontay Ingram as the only healthy, proven running back, quarterback Roschon Johnson stepped into the role and was able to make big contributions. But what are the other stories from the ground game and how does that spin forward to a 2020 season where the running back room should be more stable? Connect with the show on Twitter and Facebook. January 21, 2020 - Two More Coaches and Bad Basketball Jan 21, 2020
    Show notes

The Texas Longhorns' coaching search is winding down as Texas has officially landed its new special teams and tight ends coach in former Texas player Jay Boulware and linebackers coach Coleman Hutzler. Both bring a ton of experience at their respective positions, so what are expectations for the two. While on the hardwood, the basketball team struggled in back-to-back games as fans call for a change and coaches search for answers. Connect with the show on Twitter and Facebook. Show notes

With the college football season officially in the rearview mirror, it's time to take a step back and look at the season that was. The Texas Longhorns may not have had the season fans expected, but the Longhorns managed to put up several solid performances in the passing game. Sam Ehlinger continues to put his name among the top quarterbacks in school history, while Devin Duvernay had one of the greatest receiving seasons in school history. New week, new coaching updates as the Texas Longhorns have found their newest position coaches, as Jay Valai takes over as the cornerbacks coach and Andre Coleman loses the interim tag to take over as the wide receivers coach. What are the expectations for the two skill position coaches? We also take a moment to discuss an up-and-down week from the Texas basketball team, after struggling against the Oklahoma Sooners, but taking care of business against the Kansas State Wildcats. January 9, 2020 - More Coaching News Jan 09, 2020
    Show notes

The coaching situation for the Texas Longhorns football team continues to change as interviews take place with the new coordinators. Reports came out Wednesday that interim defensive coordinator and safeties coach Craig Naivar is moving on, while defensive line coach Oscar Giles would remain for the staff. That means that at least one coaching spot is filled with three left to go for new defensive coordinator Chris Ash. On the offensive side, new offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich did not call plays for the Ohio State Buckeyes, but ran the show for six years for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. We welcomed in Phillip Slavin of Cowboys Ride for Free and the Ten12 Podcast to give some insight into what fans should expect from Yurcich. Connect with the show on Twitter and Facebook. January 7, 2020 - Sam Ehlinger Returns to School Jan 07, 2020
    Show notes

The Texas Longhorns got some expected, but very welcome news Monday, as quarterback Sam Ehlinger announced that he is returning for his senior season on the Forty Acres to lead Texas in the 2020 season. Joining him is junior offensive lineman Samuel Cosmi, who announced earlier Monday that he will return to once again anchor the offensive line unit. With those announcements, new offensive coordinator MIke Yurcich will have two big pieces on the field back, and reports have surfaced that he will retain two of the current offensive coaches as he and head coach Tom Herman fill out their staff. The season may not have gone as expected for the Texas Longhorns, but they managed to close it out on a high note with a convincing win over the Utah Utes in the Alamo Bowl. Both the offense and the defense played as well as they have all year, finishing the year 8-5. What does the win mean to the story of this season and what does it show us about what Texas can be in 2020 and beyond? Connect with the show on Twitter and Facebook. Show notes

The Texas Longhorns finally named an offensive coordinator, as Mike Yurcich takes over following a short stay as the Ohio State Buckeyes passing game coordinator. In the six seasons prior to Ohio State, Yurcich was the OC for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, leading their offense to several record- setting years with Oklahoma State.
