Hoodwink appears in Absentia aided by Charlie Evans. He vanishes again after Sludge regains his power-wielding glasses. Jonica is whisked away by the Socklings to Sludge's home as Sludge decides what to do next about Hoodwink’s unexpected appearance on the scene. In San Francisco, the Laundronauts rush to the Washaterium in the hopes of rescuing Jonica.

Perry escapes Absentia with Jonica’s help. They encounter a homeless man with wet blankets who seems to know something about Absentia. Benny is voted next to go into the Jumbotron. Jonica is not happy about the choice. Charlie delivers a message given to him by JD in his dreams: they have been summoned to the Jumbotron at midnight. Charlie rouses the others while Jonica rushes to the Washaterium. They arrive to discover Jonica is nowhere to be found.

Sludge asks Perry to join him in his plot for revenge. Perry rejects him and barely escapes. He ends up in the forest and dozes off, dreaming of his seventh birthday in San Francisco. When he awakens he is still in San Francisco. He realizes he too has power in Absentia. Sludge appears and gives Perry one final chance. Perry snatches Sludge’s magical glasses off of his face, sends the signal back to San Francisco, and runs for it, a now weakened Sludge in hot pursuit. Back in San Francisco, Charlie Evans tells the other Laundronauts an older JD is haunting his dreams. They are stunned. How can Charlie know about Sludge? Will Perry escape Absentia? Tune in.

Chapter Three: "Mount Perry" Mar 14, 2022

The Laundronauts get busy trying to rescue JD. Perry goes into the machine next. He meets a friendly, living, breathing sock. He also meets JD’s alter-ego, Sludge, who is very angry at him. The Sockling saves Perry by punting him into the ominous forest. Perry discovers a city beneath the ground populated by living, breathing clocks and watches. They seem to have captured one of the Socklings. Perry marks the spot for future missions and continues to explore. Sludge finally appears and turns Perry into a giant, announcing that the time for revenge is nigh.

In 1930’s San Francisco a boy named JD Belzell is shoved into a washing machine by a bully named Charlie Evans and vanishes. JD’s friends, the Laundronauts, fail to intervene. Wracked with guilt, two of the children, Nick and Mona, go into the washer to try and rescue him, only to discover a magical world beyond the machine where everything that gets buried in the soil blooms to life. They also discover that JD is now the master of this strange world and has grown older, more powerful, and very angry at the people that failed to help him. Them! Nick and Mona barely escape back to San Francisco with their lives. Upon return The Laundronauts pledge to rescue JD and bring him back home no matter what the cost. But who goes next into the machine? And what the heck happened to JD?
