Welcome back folks, welcome back. Kyle and Anthony are here to take you through their outlook for the rest of the season—have a few tissues on hand. Topics soon switch to a review of Derrick Rose’s Day Off, players the Knicks can target now and in the 2017 offseason, Melo’s toughness, All-Star voting, and a very tough stretch coming up. This team could be at a very different place when we next speak. Brace yourselves for this week, we’ll see you on the other side. We recorded this podcast last night both in sadness and celebration just after hearing the news of Craig Sager’s passing. Thank you Craig for paving the way for us to report the NBA with style and accuracy, just the way that we aspire to at The Knicks Wall. This one’s in memoriam of one of the all-time greats. In this week’s episode, Anthony and Kyle break down this week’s games against the Lakers and the Suns (01:00), preparing for the Warriors (07:00), potential trades around the NBA and how the Knicks work into the situation (11:00), Phil Jackson’s status as President, and details on the NBA’s new Collective Bargaining Agreement. Happy Friday! Follow The Knicks Wall: @theknickswall Follow Anthony: @wishiwascorbo Follow Kyle: @maggio_nba theknickswall.com Recorded 12/15
Bet you weren't expecting an episode on a Monday, were you? We like to keep you on your toes at The Knicks Wall. In this week's episode, Kyle and Anthony sit down with FiveThirtyEight's Chris Herring to discuss his outlook on the team (6:00), what drives a fan to buy a player's jersey (25:00), good old-fashioned Melo-Phil drama (35:00), how his writing's changed since leaving the Knicks' beat and what he's got on his radar (50:00). Recorded 12/10. Follow Chris on Twitter: @herring_nba Follow The Knicks Wall on Twitter: @theknickswall
We last spoke on the eve of the first duel of the year between Karl-Anthony Towns and Kristaps Porzingis. Since then, the Knicks have gone 4-0! Anthony and Kyle feel spoiled as they take you through each game, singling out performances from Melo, KP, Brandon Jennings, and Kyle O’Quinn (who has also since blocked us on Twitter during this span, please #ComeBackKyle.) Most importantly, we explore just what it means to be three games over .500 at the quarter point of the season.
Another day, another potential $75 million extension. Kyle and Anthony cut through the D-Rose extension chatter and explain why it’s way too early for that kind of talk. Plus a look at Noah’s ever decreasing production and what his role can realistically be moving forward. And of course we didn't forget about some big games between some big men coming up—Season II of Porzingis vs Towns starts now.
We're at .500! Pop the champagne!! On tonight's episode, we welcome TKW site writer Bailey Carlin to the show to discuss just how Joakim Noah's role could evolve sooner than anyone thought. We also over-analyze KOQ as per usual, discuss the importance of Porzingod's two 30+ point performances this week, the team moving forward after evening their record, and Anthony accidentally offends a Knicks D-Leaguer. Recorded 11/8 Ever wonder how a Rasheed Wallace & Kyle O'Quinn podcast would be? Concerned about the Knicks' defense, even with former power forward and goggle enthusiast Kurt Rambis taking the reigns? Sick of Melo being underrated in every ranking? Coincidentally, us too. Us too.
