    Show notes

Jared Carrabis and his cell phone join today's episode of the Kirk Minihane Show. Jared, it becomes clear, has fallen head over heels for an Internet influencer -- a 25-year-old bombshell who has left him barely able to concentrate on anything else, even as he awaits news of the Red Sox's hunt for a new manager. Kirk barely avoids a feud with Lights Camera Pod leader Jeff D. Lowe. Jared gives his take on the pitched presidential election roiling the country. Big Cat briefly appears to check in on Jared's love life. Kirk offers a glimpse at the new secret project he's been working on, prompting Jared to volunteer that he, too, has some secret projects up his sleeve.

We'll "Match" Your Ad Buy!!! Nov 05, 2020
    Show notes

The presidential election still hangs in the air as the remaining battleground states struggle to finish counting ballots. Steve is alarmed that a 118-year-old man appears to have voted in Michigan. We've finally gotten to the bottom of the Entercom Radio Johnny who was fired in DC. Speaking of Entercom: WEEI is offering struggling small businesses "matching" ad buys, but their apparent charity is not what it seems. Another Barstool show has landed Jeep.

Dewey Defeats Truman Nov 03, 2020
    Show notes

The great pestilence has returned to torment Kirk Minihane and Barstool Sports. Election Day 2020 is finally upon us and Kirk is excited to go out and get his sticker, while Steve is going to abstain and let the liberals win. CNN's celebrity shrink Bandy Lee is the winner of this month's "Who Is Going Set Their Career On Fire By Saying Dumb Shit About Adolph Hitler Award" (0:19:00). A bloodbath yesterday at iHeart Media with several local radio personalities now unemployed (0:39:30). Kirk and Steve provide an update on where things stand regarding the upcoming VFW hall show in light of the new unilateral dictates issued by MA Gov. Charlie Baker. President Trump joins by phone, along with someone purporting to share Bruce Springsteen's cell phone number.

    Tig Nov 02, 2020
    Show notes

The trial of the century is set to begin in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as Somerville Mayor Joe Curtatone has convinced the Supreme Judicial Court to take up his case against Kirk Minihane, a.k.a. Kevin Cullen. Kirk and Steve receive an insane email from the guy who wants to eat out of the studio toilet for a chance to win tickets to the VFW live show (0:30:00). The Atlantic published a piece of "journalism" that would make the aforementioned Cullen embarrassed (1:00:00). Entercom has fired a DC-based sports talk host for saying, well, they're not saying what he said, but we might have found it (1:10:00). An innocent call from a cat owner leads to an insane story from Steve's childhood. The hunt is on for Tig's grave.

    RAT HUNT Oct 30, 2020
    Show notes

Kirk Minihane, legendary friend of the men and women who serve America in the armed forces, has once again been targeted by an enemy of freedom. Someone has filed a complaint with the Northampton Health Board in cowardly effort to stop Kirk from saving the Florence VFW with his Nov. 8 live show. These efforts will not succeed and the rat will be found. Spittin' Chiclets host Ryan Whitney joins the show to talk about the passing of notable New England philanthropist Travis Roy (0:28:00). Intern Justin has redeemed himself by capturing audio of a city of Boston employee openly saying that police will not arrest people for using heroin on the new and improved Meth Mile. Felon Craig Carton is back on Entercom's payroll (0:50:30). The Girl Scouts were bullied by Twitter liberals

    Twenty-Six Trips Oct 29, 2020
    Show notes

The raffle is complete: Forty-four lucky Minifans have won the chance to attend the Kirk Minihane Show live recording at the VFW hall in Florence. But we've still got unsettled business: Steve from Providence must walk 100-miles from the flophouse he sleeps in to the VFW hall he denigrated and Louis must eat a bean supper out of the studio shitter. Barry Levine, author of "The Spider: Inside the Criminal Web of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell," joins the show to talk with Kirk about the late financiers ties to Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, his mysterious suicide, and more (0:29:00). Intern Justin took a shot at redemption and came up short (0:58:00). Social media CEOs logged on for a Zoom hearing in which they received their ritualistic condemnations from conservative politicians (1:04:00). The Ringer's movie podcast took on Sacha Baron Cohen's latest movie and the result was just bizarre (1:11:00).

    Kirk-19 Oct 28, 2020
    Show notes

The penultimate drawing for the VFW live show is complete, which means only 11 more lucky souls will be granted admission to this most exclusive live show. Intern Justin took a trip to Marty Mile, but his aversion to getting robbed and smelling human feces means only disappointment and anger for Kirk (0:31:00). A sports talk radio great has joined Kirk's effort to get Bruce Springsteen on the show. Kind of (0:52:30). Kirk attempts to call into WEEI, leading to a few minutes of The Kirk & Mut Show (0:57:30). Steve from Providence has agreed to undertake the perilous journey from Providence to Northampton in exchange for admission to the VFW live show; S.A.L.G. has some thoughts on that (1:15:30). The show concludes with the indisputably grossest segment in show history.

    Get Walkin' Oct 27, 2020
    Show notes

Following his unwarranted criticism of the Florence VFW, Steve from Providence has been removed from eligibility for the raffle. Instead, Steve's only shot at attending the exclusive live show is for him to walk 100 miles from his shanty in Providence to the VFW hall, arriving no later than 5::59 pm. The second batch of eleven names have been drawn, so let the controversy begin (0:27:00). The Boston Globe has profiled the brave men and women who stand ready to resist President Trump should he lose the election and decide not to leave the White House (0:41:00). Kirk's old colleagues at WEEI had a decidedly different take on Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat reboot (0:55:30). Kirk's Hitler rule reinforced yet again thanks to an Arizona Democrat's high school Halloween costume (1:03:00).

    Eleven Names Oct 26, 2020
    Show notes

The raffle for a chance to attend Kirk's upcoming live show at the Florence VFW has begun: eleven names have ascended into KMS history. A report from Blind Mike suggests he's doing well and may be ready to come back on the show (0:07:30). Former Boston Globe writer Chris Casper blames Kirk, without saying his name of course, for Mookie Betts' decision to leave the Red Sox (0:13:20). Kirk and Steve give their reviews of Sacha Baron Cohen's attempt to bring back that Borat magic (0:23:00). Kirk decides that you can no longer be called a "doctor" unless you write prescriptions and perform surgery; Dr. Martin Luther King is grandfathered in. Ryan Minihane makes the case for a 9 inch offering from Subway. Kirk reacts to Chelsea Handler's racist rant on Jimmy Fallon's late night show.
