    K&F Show #141: The COVID-19 Can’t Work From Home Edition…. Mar 20, 2020
    Show notes

Holley is the official EFI source for Kibbe and Friends and is the PROUD sponsor of this episode! Please support them....because they support us - and you - even in these uncertain times. Speed parts solve a lot of problems! https://www.holley.com

COVID-19 Edition: Well - the U.S. has finally come to terms with the Coronavirus pandemic, and even though we were going to take this week off we thought we should come together to discuss it.

We know that MANY of you do not have the option to realistically work from home. The intent of this show was to learn who is where, who is doing what, and how we're all getting through it. Yes, there's even good news in here too. And some inappropriate jokes....as you would expect (there's always time for that).

Stay safe, be smart, stay positive, and do your best to help your fellow man. If we all do that...we can get back to doing the dumb car stuff we love the most!

Patreon Peeps, our $500 credit to our man Cody Crafted's shop in Burleson, TX has been awarded. Listen in to see if you won! We'll have something else special in store for Warren Customs in the near future too, so there's plenty of time to get in on the action if you would like.

Thank you SO MUCH to those of you who have joined in and also to those of you who have chosen to increase your contribution! To get in on the action and support the show with a minor financial contribution just click the link below to sign up. www.patreon.com/kfshow

K&F Show #140: That’s HIGH Praise! Movie Review: Gone in 60 Seconds Mar 12, 2020
    Show notes

Holley is the official EFI source for Kibbe and Friends and is the PROUD sponsor of this episode! There's a BRAND NEW MOPAR EVENT listed on their website that you need to save the date for as well: Sept 18-20 in Bowling Green, KY. When we have more info we'll pass it your way....but for now check out https://www.holley.com/events/moparevent!

The PATREON $500 Winner to Cody Crafted has been announced. Listen in to see if it was you!

Gone in 60 Seconds - MOVIE REVIEW: If all you know of Nic Cage with how you've seen Andy Samburg play him on SNL, prepare to be amazed! The summer 2000 released Nicolas Cage version of the movie shares little with the 1974 original other than the movie title and name of the star car, but it's a popcorn movie that keeps car people happy from start to finish. Except for the CGI jump at the end. That was terrible. Ignore that. And for those that wondered why we chose THIS movie over the original, well...you may think that '67 Shelby GT500 "Eleanor" in Gone in 60 Seconds is a timeless beauty or just waaaaaaaaaaaay too overexposed at this point, but there's no question that she is one of the most replicated Hollywood cars out there - perhaps even rivaling the General Lee. That's notable and worth a look!

    Show notes

Holley is the official EFI source for Kibbe and Friends and is the PROUD sponsor of this episode! Their Terminator Stealth system on my General Lee is killing it. And...they can kill it for your daily driver! Do you have a gas powered 2019-2019 RAM or 2020 Chevy/GMC 3/4 ton that needs some Exhaust love? Check out their new Flowmaster American Thunder line for sweet ways to juice up your ride!

The BIG RED CAMARO Build Book winners have been announced. Listen in to see if it was you!

Dukes Review: Man. Is Season 5 over yet? Crap, it's not. This is just episode 2. Dammit. Anyway, here's the summary: Coy and Vance are in this episode - wearing the same Bo and Luke color coordination for shirts and everything. The Dukes plant fake gold fools Boss into taking back land he sold unscrupulously to an unsuspecting young couple. The stunts are great, Catherine Bach is off the charts hot in this one. Cletus says something funny once. There is another good jump at the end too. Episode seemed really long to me. Like, two hours long. Weird. Anyway, they win. The end.

Patreon Peeps, as announced last week, ONE of you will win a $500 credit to our man Cody Crafted's shop in Burleson, TX to have any mod done on you ride you want! We're taking it on the honor system that you can get your car there and will get it done. Enter by March 7!

Holley is the official EFI source for Kibbe and Friends and is the PROUD sponsor of this episode! We need your help! We're working with Holley on future things to do with the show....and we really need to know where you live and what you drive. Could you please fill out this super-duper easy four question survey for us? It would REALLY help move the ball forward for the future initiatives we have planned together. http://bit.ly/TMCP_Podcast_Survey

Thank you to BIG RED CAMARO for being a part of our show this week! Listeners....theres a hint in this episode that could win you a BIG RED Build Book! The answer is found on Page 101 of that book, in fact. Stay tuned to for a chance to win on our Instagram channel.....because the color of Big Red is the question. Hint: the car is PPG "Ultra Red".

Dukes Review - Dammit. Well...we had to get here eventually. This is the episode where Bo and Luke are replaced by two very similar cousins, Coy and Vance. Why? Because money, that's why. The merchandising rights of the show were Star-Wars-esque and every kid in the world had a lunch box with Bo, Luke, and the General front and center. John Schneider and Tom Wopat thought they deserved a little more coin for their likeness, Warner Bros disagreed, and a lawsuit war ensued that would (eventually) replace both actors for 19 episodes. Were those actors terrible human beings out to ruin all our lives? Of course not. But they weren't Bo and Luke. And we wanted Bo and Luke. And Warner Brothers believed we would continue watching anyway because of the car, and continue buying toys, because of the car, and eventually we'd forget there was a Bo and Luke, because of the car. Only we didn't. So, this launches a 19 episode run of Coy and Vance. The music is weird, dialogue is clumsy, and the stunts are awesome. Enjoy.

Patreon Peeps, the QA Show is next week, so send in your questions! The Patreon Supporter PRIZE GRAB will is this month as well and all Patrons at the $10 level, or at any lower level with 6 or more months of support are eligible. We will also do our Q&A show this month as well - so send in your questions!

Movie Review - Days of Thunder! Since the Daytona 500 is right around the corner we knew it was time to do what needed to be done: review Days of Thunder! The team that brought you Top Gun, brings you Top Car - better known as Days of Thunder. Both movies feature a wildly talented but undisciplined rebel who is as awesome with driving machinery as he is with the ladies. Both feature a helmet-less motorcycle riding Tom Cruise as the lead who goes through massive success riding his own ego….until his butt can’t cash them. This is the movie that proves to get the girls, you gotta go fast, and if you’re from California you’re not really a yankee...you’re not really from anywhere.

Patreon Peeps, you have supported us since day one...and we thank you SO MUCH for it! The year 2020 will be an important one for Patreon specifically, and we have decided to retire the $1 and $2 levels completely. K&F Fans - the Holley fuel injection install on Kibbe Lee is FINALLY happening! We're recording this show in advance to get to work all week at Cody Young's shop in Burleson, TX. It seems like we have been talking about this over and over forever, living the same day repeatedly. It's also Groundhog's Day (or was recently)...and there's this great movie where they live the same day over and over again on Groundhog's Day.

I think you know where this is going. Listen in for a full interview with Jeff Teel from Holley on the system we're running on Kibbe Lee (and you can too), and a re-broadcast with Mike Finnegan on Episode 58 for the review of Groundhog Day! Also, be sure to listen to Episode 402 of the MuscleCar Place with Cody Young to discuss the upcoming install. https://themusclecarplace.com/tmcp-402-from-architecture-to-race-teams-to-hot-rods-cody-youngs-amazing-hot-rod-shop-journey-now-adding-holley-fuel-injection-to-the-kibbe-lee

Dukes Review: If there is any story that typifies the Dukes of Hazzard it’s the classic missed-mortgage payment leads to foreclosure situation. I think we’ve heard it before, I know we’ll hear it again, it’s even so classic it’s the basis of the first reunion movie in 1997. True story - Big time debt hater guru Dave Ramsey got his start before of this episode. (Note: not a true story.) Everything works out fine of course, even with actually bad guys…..but bad days are coming for us all….because this is the last episode of Season 4. The beginning of the end is at hand. The first of Season 5 will feature.....Coy and Vance. 8.5 Corndogs out of 10.

Dukes Review: Share and Share Alike. Hey hey - it's our first show of 2020, here with the news and the Dukes reviews that you need most! This episode of the Dukes featured a Women's Power theme called the Hazzard Equal Rights Society episode. Once again, the Dukes are ahead of their time, right? Lulu wears a Boss Hogg suit and shenanigans ensue. And...since any printed further summary would potentially now be an ethics violation, and since we have no desire to deal with that even a little bit, we'll stop hear and encourage you to listen to the review. The General Lee is in it, so that's good. Otherwise...meh. Show Rating: 6 Corndogs
