    KBMOD Podcast – Episode 222 Jan 19, 2016
    Show notes

Welcome to Episode 222! Our podcast has released episodically for years now, but when the new Hitman reboot is announced to take up this release strategy, everyone causes a fuss? #DoubleStandard #WakeUp. EA’s Origin has started a new “Origin Access” subscription model for players to get access to a growing library of games that will likely not include the new Hitman for another decade or so. Amazon Prime members will now enjoy a 20% discount on most pre-orders and new games shortly after they launch. All of this news and more awaits you on this week’s cast! Twitter questions this week include a breakdown of the legitimacy of certain foods, the chance to re-experience some of our favorite gaming moments, and the validity of using your phone at a urinal.

    KBMOD Podcast – Episode 220 Jan 05, 2016
    Show notes

KBMOD kicks off 2016 with a hilarious and memorable cast you won’t want to miss. Our news this week covers a man suing Bethesda over his Fallout 4 addiction, and another man completing the game without killing a single thing. Development on Just Cause 3’s multiplayer mod has begun, and MLG has sold a large amount of their assets to Activision Blizzard. Valve has issued a response and an explanation for the leaks of private user information that occurred on Christmas Day, and ASUS plans to incorporate Adblock Plus into their mobile browser.

Be sure to listen to our game of the year discussion, which doesn’t go quite as in-depth as previous years, but is still well worth a listen. What was your game of the year for 2015? Let us know in the comments! Twitter questions this week begin with an investigation into meat consumption, a look back at some of 2015’s best memes, and some of the cast member’s New Year’s resolutions. There’s also a surprise involving seepage of warm milk that we won’t spoil here–you’ll just have to watch for yourself.

    KBMOD Podcast – Episode 219 Dec 22, 2015
    Show notes

Brandon might be missing from our final cast of 2015, but the rest of our usual cast was still able to dish out the PC gaming news that you’ve been begging Santa to bring you. Our run-time is a bit shorter than average, thanks to a rather light week of news.

It’s a Christmas miracle as Valve finally reverts the changes to rifles and pistols from the recent patch, which you can read all about from their official blog post. Riot Games is now completely owned by Tencent, and former NBA player Rick Fox is trying his hand at managing an esports team. It seems like Konami has been in our headlines for months, but this time we finally have some positive news to report: Hideo Kojima has now officially left Konami and will begin work on a new PS4 console-exclusive title. Be sure to check out the newly released schedule for Awesome Games Done Quick 2016 so you can jot down which speedruns you can’t bear to miss.

Other news this week (there’s a lot!) includes:

    • Twitter hiring a “Director of Gaming”
    • Dark Souls III’s PC System Requirements
    • DayZ celebrating being in Early Access for more than two years
    • Another fleeting Arkham Knight PC Patch
    • Rocket League’s incredible profits
    • And much more!

Our viewer questions ask about our Christmas wishes, call the effectiveness of G2A discount codes into question, and finish with a disgusting new flavor of wings coming to Buffalo Wild Wings. There’s no podcast next week, so from all of us here at KBMOD, we hope you enjoy a lovely holiday with your family and friends. We’ll see you in 2016!

    KBMOD Podcast – Episode 218 Dec 15, 2015
    Show notes

This week’s podcast might be shy one APL, but his absence did not stop the rest of the team from providing you with a bottomless meme-soaked rabbit hole of PC gaming news to tumble down. Tribes Ascend received its first update in more than two years, and it is a substantial one. If your Skylake CPU managed not to crumble under the weight of your CPU cooler, then perhaps you’ll be interested in the possibility of overclocking it. CS:GO’s Winter Update introduced a number of changes, including what is likely the most controversial weapon the series has ever introduced. (Thankfully, it has been nerfed.) Other news includes a new Competitive Gaming Division from EA and the release date of HTC’s Vive VR headsets being revealed.

Viewer questions this week include our favorite kinds of milk and cookies, advice for handling stressful college finals, and the latent Christmas wishes of the team.

    KBMOD Podcast – Episode 217 Dec 08, 2015
    Show notes

This week’s cast sees the usual group open with a variety of technical news, as well as a beautiful cadence of pre-meme culture memes and anti-vaccination propaganda. If you aren’t enticed enough already, perhaps the new details of Amazon’s delivery drones will pull you in, as well as the news that Adobe will no longer brand with the ‘Flash’ name, the possibility of a Windows related Xbox Live Subscription, and plans for PS4 to PC streaming support in the future. Other news includes the new function to fully remove games from your Steam library, reports of bending Intel Skylale CPUs, as well as your seemingly weekly Konami shenanigans.

It is at this point that your knees have started to buckle with excitement. Before you collapse onto your beanbag chair ready to listen, remember that our viewer questions this week are full of genius wordplay involving beef and Swedes, in addition to our gaming time put into question, and our biggest early gaming disappointments. The podcast review of the week manages to show us that our content can cure a form of measles, but also subtly hint against modern medicinal procedures.

    KBMOD Podcast – Episode 216 Dec 01, 2015
    Show notes

This week, the normal crew of Scott, Brandon, John, and Nick gathers and kicks off with a recap of the games, friends, and feasts of Thanksgiving week. The news is surprisingly thick, as we discuss a winter-themed hockey mode coming to Rocket League, the release of the crazy cheap Raspberry Pi Zero, a unique punishment for a software pirate, the launch of PortablePicker, and much more! The viewer questions include some enlightening viewpoints on eating chain restaurant pizza, looking like Jared Fogle, and learning to swear. Oh, and there’s some discussion about a disturbing Tumblr page somewhere in there too.

    KBMOD Podcast – Episode 215 Nov 24, 2015
    Show notes

Whether you’ve just stuffed your face at Friendsgiving, or preparing to gorge yourself this Thursday, this week’s podcast crew of APL, Brandon, John, and Nick are here to keep you company. News begins with us discussing some of the most important news of the year, the death of the appreciated and revered Zune service, Steam’s removal of Flash and Daily sales, and the newest NVIDIA GPU. Also, be sure to check out our review of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, courtesy of long-time KBMOD content creator Ajay, the Cynical Brit.

The cast has Had Enough with EA, as it’s Lights Out for Benjamin Burnley’s copy of Star Wars: Battlefront, as it was crushed Into Nothing after EA tried to pay him to promote the video game, but he Did Not Bow. Viewer questions have the cast going over alternate Thanksgiving foods in the absence of Turkey, and the timeless debate of sandwich legitimacy.

As for our iTunes review…we had nothing. Step up your game, people!

    KBMOD Podcast – Episode 214 Nov 17, 2015
    Show notes

After looking into the viability of video rental stores, this week’s podcast sees the regular team back together again. The most important news of this week has to do with PornHub taking a dip in traffic with the release of Fallout 4, right in front of some interesting new VR tech that might one day become affiliated with the website itself. There’s a load of new PC hardware news, with GPU shipment results of this quarter, and the unveiling of Kingston’s 128GB RAM kits.

    Other news includes:

    • Details of the newest Windows 10 update
    • A update from the FCC concerning third-party routing firmware
    • A ridiculous statement from Apple CEO Tim Cook

This week’s viewers questions bring up APL’s beautiful features, creating video games with changed genres, and the importance of an early upbringing in memes.

This week’s cast starts with a hot musical discussion, as well as the acceptable size and depth of cuddle puddles. With BlizzCon closing out this past weekend, we’ve got a load of Blizzard news to cover, including the announcement that Overwatch will not be free to play, the newest Heathstone content, a new trailer for the Warcraft film, and more.
