Marianne Williamson joins the Katie Halper Show to talk about her campaign, and domestic and foreign politics.

Marianne Williamson is a political activist, author, non-denominational spiritual lecturer and New York Times bestselling author. She began in the 1980’s, during which time she became deeply involved with HIV/AIDS activism. A long-time champion for the LGBTQ+ community, she founded Project Angel Food to deliver meals to the homebound unable to shop or cook for themselves. To date, the charitable organization has served over 16 million meals. She also founded the LA Center for Living, the Manhattan Center for Living, and cofounded The Peace Alliance.
Williamson has been a non-profit activist throughout her career. She has produced numerous progressive candidate summits and podcasts to encourage more women, LGBTQ+, racially diverse, and progressive Democrats to run for office. Over the years she has lectured to hundreds of thousands of people on spiritually and politically progressive topics, sold over three million books, and has done extensive work with the ill and dying. She has written 15 books, 7 New York Times bestsellers and 4 of them hitting #1.
In 2020 she ran for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States, and is now a candidate challenging the candidacies of President Biden and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.. As an essential part of her platform Williamson proposes a 21st Century Economic Bill of Rights, a Department of Peace, reparations for slavery, a Department of Children and Youth, and a just transition from a dirty to a clean economy. A progressive Democrat, Williamson proposes a new economic beginning including universal health care, tuition free college and tech school, and a guaranteed living wage.
Lev Golinkin is the author of A Backpack, a Bear, and Eight Crates of Vodka, Amazon’s Debut of the Month, a Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers program selection, and winner of the Premio Salerno Libro d’Europa. A graduate of Boston College, Golinkin came to the U.S. as a child refugee from the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkov (now called Kharkiv) in 1990. His writing on the Ukraine crisis, Russia, the far right, and immigrant and refugee identity has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, CNN, NBC, The Boston Globe, Politico Europe, and Time.com, among others; he has been interviewed by MSNBC, NPR, ABC Radio, WSJ Live and HuffPost Live.
Yasha Levine is a Russian-American investigative journalist, writer, and filmmaker. David K. Hecht is a historian of science, focusing on the modern United States. His particular interest is in public images of science, & he has published on the phenomenon of "scientific celebrities." His first book, Storytelling and Science: Rewriting Oppenheimer in the Nuclear Age, was published 2015 (University of Massachusetts Press), & he is currently researching a second book project on the intersections between nuclear & environmental history. Other scholarly interests include the history of energy, as well as the role that popular rhetoric about science plays in reinforcing (and sometimes challenging) the status quo. His courses include "The Nuclear Age," "The History of Energy," "Image, Myth & Memory," & "Science on Trial." In 2011 he was awarded the Sydney B. Karofsky prize, Bowdoin's annual teaching prize for junior faculty.
Alex Wellerstein is a historian of science and nuclear technology. He is a professor at the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey, where he is the Director of Science & Technology Studies in the College of Arts & Letters. His first book, Restricted Data: The History of Nuclear Secrecy in the United States (University of Chicago Press, 2021), is the first attempt at a comprehensive history of how nuclear weapons ushered in a new period of governmental & scientific secrecy in the USA. His current projects include: a new book about Harry Truman & nuclear weapons; research into the past, present & potential future of Presidential nuclear weapons use authority; & a video game about life after a full-scale nuclear war set in the early 1980s. His writings on the history of nuclear weapons have appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic Magazine, Harper’s Magazine & the Washington Post, among other venues. His online nuclear weapon effects simulator, the NUKEMAP, has been used by over 50 million people globally. He occasionally maintains a blog: Restricted Data: The Nuclear Secrecy Blog.

Jan Kavan is a Czech politician aligned with the Czech Social Democratic Party (ČSSD). From 1998 until 2002, he served as Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic and was Deputy Prime Minister from 1999 until 2002. He was then elected as President of the United Nations General Assembly, a post he held from 2002 until 2003. He is also a member of the organising committee of peace initiative Peace and Justice, which launched last January and to date has 20,000 signatories.
Mr Kavan is an Honorary Fellow at the London School of Economics and has an Honorary Doctorate of Humane letters at Adelphi University, New York. He has also received several human rights awards including Companion of Honour (UK), International Order of Merit (UK), Presidential Roll of Honor (USA).
He is also a member of the Advisory Board for the European Leadership Network (ELN).

Ray McGovern is a former CIA analyst turned activist. He headed the CIA branch analyzing Russian foreign policy in the 70s. From 1981 to 1985, he presented, in person, the early morning briefings of The President’s Daily Brief. Ray was awarded the Intelligence Commendation Medallion at retirement; in an act of conscience in early 2006 Ray returned the Medallion, explaining, “I do not want to be associated, however remotely, with an agency engaged in torture.” In January 2003, two months before the U.S. attacked Iraq, he co-founded Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity to warn the President that the “intelligence” on Iraq was fraudulent.

Not only has Medea (and others calling for negotiations) been smeared and had her talks canceled, she was threatened by a "protestor" who took her phone as she attempted to film him. Even worse, the protestor physically attacked by a 70 year old member of Veterans for Peace who tried to help her retrieve her phone and then had to be rushed to the emergency room with a dislocated shoulder.
Then Jeffrey Alexander Sterling, an American lawyer and former CIA employee who was arrested, charged, and convicted of violating the Espionage Act, talks about the fate of Julian Assange.
