YOUR LAST WORDS Sep 05, 2024
    Show notes

On this episode of The Karen Kenney Show, I’m reflecting on my own mortality (and others) and our last communications.

I talk about how we never know when or what our last words given or received might be.

And how the quality and tone of our last communications with loved ones matter because they might unknowingly be our final words to each other.

I discuss the emotional intelligence and maturity required to communicate effectively with one another, even when we’re pissed off or in the middle of a conflict.

I also encourage us to reflect on some of the last words we’ve said or written recently to the important people in our life and to consider if they truly reflect our genuine feelings.

If not, maybe now is the perfect time to take a few moments to send some love their way!

    KEY POINTS:

Today on The Karen Kenney Show, I’m sharing a couple of quotes that have been instrumental in helping me to not beat myself up about the past.

We’ll explore how the mind loves to travel back in time to all the past places where you messed up or got it wrong.

I’ll also share a different way of looking at things and a helpful approach to making peace with when we’ve been clumsy.

Plus, I’ll mention a few less than stellar experiences I’ve had lately where I definitely did not feel the caring vibe.

Instead, we’ll discuss the power of “dropping keys” through encouragement, enthusiasm and empowerment!

    Show notes

Today on The Karen Kenney Show, I’m talking about a new way of looking at the challenging things, the difficult things, and the negative things, that we might have encountered in life.

We’ll also explore the idea that we don’t have to be defined by the things that happen to us and how it’s important to distinguish between our true Self and the traumas and hurts we’ve experienced.

We’ll discuss the power of stories and how they shape our beliefs and identities and how no matter what happens, “a cloud doesn’t put out the sun.”

Why Go It Alone? May 09, 2024
    Show notes

One of the things that I’ve noticed about myself, and others like me, is a pattern of hyper-independence and self-reliance. These traits aren’t uncommon in people with some trauma in their history.

And whether they truly couldn’t rely on others, or felt like they had to figure things out all on their own, this belief can set people up with a habit of not asking for help.

Today on The Karen Kenney Show, we’re talking about why going it alone isn’t always the best answer.

We’ll dive into four concepts that can be observed and applied to both business and personal life: hard work, guesswork, frameworks, and teamwork.

We’ll also discuss the difference between intentionally experimenting and aimlessly flinging spaghetti at the wall and why having a group of “strong swimmers” to support you can make all the difference in the world!

I’ll also share about why joining my email list is a good idea right now and the benefits of signing up for my spiritual mentoring group: THE NEST!

Plus, I let you know about hitting pause and a possible way to support the show upon return!
