Mark Oja, is an award winning custom painter, known for being the Build Manager, Painter and Builder on Motor Trends hit TV show Overhaulin' show for the final 4 seasons. He also appeared on “American Hod Rod” Wheeler Dealers, and other automotive television shows. Today, his California Speed & Custom offers complete hand built, turn key hot rods, muscle cars and sport trucks.
Oja is a licensed collision repair specialist and refinisher. His Custom Rod Garage restores classic cars, as well as builds, repairs and refinishes custom cars, hot rods and street rods.
In addition to Custom Rod Garage, he owns California Speed and Custom LLC, which is the retail store located in the same building. Hot Rod, Muscle Car Power and Street Rodder magazines have featured Mark's work. Some of the cars that appeared on “Overhaulin’” now are located at the shop.

Muscle Car Barn Finds: Rusty Road Runners, Abandoned AMXs, Crusty Camaros and More! Aug 30, 2021

It’s no secret among car collectors and enthusiast that the pursuit of “lost” cars is what drives many gearheads. Finding an abandoned, restorable car is one of the most common dreams among collectors and a touchstone for the hobby. Top shows like the Pebble Beach Concours and Chicago’s Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals have added special classes devoted to original and barn find vehicles.
Author and photographer Ryan Brutt is the “automotive archaeologist”, author of the CarsInBarns blog, and a monthly columnist for Hot Rod magazine. Brutt has selected his best muscle car images for Muscle Car Barn Finds. No searching the back roads required--just kick up your feet and begin your barn-finding adventure by turning the page.
These old warriors aren’t dead, just resting. A drive in the country or through a small-town back street will reveal them lurking under tarps, hidden behind garage doors, stashed behind fences from prying eyes.

Rick DeBruhl understands communication. As an award-winning network television broadcaster with a master’s degree in Media Management he has the insight to help any business innovate and grow by improving the way its people communicate. In nearly four decades spent interviewing and reporting about both business leaders and front-line employees, Rick has learned that before you can innovate you must communicate.

He has also spent much of the last 30 years covering auto racing for TV networks like ESPN, ABC and NBC including events like the Indy 500. In a world that travels at more than 200 miles per hour, Rick has learned that communication is critical. The right information at the right time not only gives teams a chance to win, it also can avoid a disaster where lives are at risk.

Rick spent nearly a decade as a consumer reporter and advocate. It was an education into what makes a company successful. Many times, he found failures were the result of communication. Sometimes it was the way consumers were handled, but often the communication problems were inside the company. In a fast-paced world of online consumer reviews, that breakdown can quickly ruin a corporate reputation.

Valerie Thompson is the World’s Fastest Woman on Two Wheels, and she’s only Just Begun Jul 19, 2021

Valerie is the “World’s Fastest Female Motorcycle Racer” and a ten-time land speed record holder with membership in the Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame, seven 200 MPH Clubs and one 300 MPH Club. In 2018, she piloted the famed BUB 7 Streamliner to a record speed of 328.467 mph (528.616 km/h) and is the only female rider featured on the “World’s Top 10 Fastest Motorcycle Riders” list. She was recently included on the Dealer news “Top 100 Leaders in Powersports” list.

In addition to pursuing the fastest motorcycle title of 376.363 mph, Valerie assumed driving duties of the Treit and Davenport Target 550 Streamliner in 2019 for her first land speed record attempt on 4-wheels. Marlo Treit and Les Davenport have four decades of land speed racing experience in a variety of record-setting vehicles. The team’s goal is to break the current conventional wheel-driven, piston-powered automobile class speed record of 415.867 mph.

Valerie is the first woman in the seat of the Target 550 Streamliner as a result, she could become the first woman over 400 mph both in a car and motorcycle. While other women have reached fabulous speeds in a car and others in a motorcycle streamliner, NO woman has done both. She has the opportunity to be the first driver over 500 mph in a piston engine car, and over 400 mph in a motorcycle. Something that NOBODY – man or woman has accomplished.

Valerie’s quest to become the world’s fastest motorcycle racer is the subject of P-51 Pictures and MN8 upcoming film documentary, “Rockets and Titans.”

Since 1953 the Corvette has been America’s Sports Car. The National Corvette Museum was established as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit foundation with a mission of celebrating the invention of the Corvette; preserving its past, present and future; and educating the public about Corvette. The Museum opened in 1994 and is a 115,000 square foot facility located on a 55-acre campus. Bowling Green, Kentucky is home to the world’s only General Motors Corvette Assembly Plant.
The mission of the National Corvette Museum is to celebrate the Corvette’s invention and preserve the legendary automobile’s past, present, and future. The museum will serve as an educational and research model for all to enjoy.

The Museum is to:

Promote the restoration, preservation, and conservation of America’s sports car.
Be a repository of, and preserve, printed technical materials and historical information on the Corvette automobile.
Enhance the knowledge of the general public regarding the design, development, construction, and history of the Corvette automobile.
Provide information to the general public, collectors and automobile historians about the Corvette automobile.
Provide a facility to house and display the Corvette automobile for public exhibition, and for research in the areas of the automotive sciences and automobile mechanics.
Provide historical literature and memorabilia on the Corvette automobile, from its development to the present day, for the general public and collectors.

The Gimore Museums Executive Director Josh Russell Doesn’t Just Play with Cars, He Lives Them.

A lifelong “car guy”, Josh Russell may have the most enviable professional of them all. As executive director of one of the most picturesque and immersive automobile museums in the country, The Gilmore Car Museum is North America's largest auto museum with over 400 vehicles on display and over 190,000 square feet of exhibit space. The Museum’s 90-acre Historic Campus features numerous vintage structures including a restored and fully functioning 1941 Silk City Diner, George & Sally’s Blue Moon Diner, a recreated 1930s Shell Station, six onsite Partner Museums, and so much more.
The Museum collection is housed in a recreated factory building from the turn of the century and within a historic campus of several historic buildings, including eight restored 19th century barns, an authentic operating 1940s diner, a recreated 1930s Shell gas station and train depot from the 1890s.
Recreated auto dealerships include a Franklin dealership from around 1918, a Model A Ford dealership from 1928, a 1930s Lincoln and a 1948 Cadillac dealership and nearly three miles of paved roadways, on which antique cars, as well as the Museum’s London Taxi, Checker Cab, Model T, or the London Double Decker bus can often be seen traveling.
From its oldest car on exhibit, an 1899 Locomobile steam car, to brass era, muscle, movies, modern and even pedal cars The Gilmore is a bucket list destination for every automotive enthusiast!
