Daphne Rose Kingma is an undisputed expert on matters of the heart. Prior to writing The Ten Things to Do When Your Life Falls Apart, she authored 12 books related to love and relationships. Some of her best selling titles include: The Future of Love: The Power of Soul in Intimate Relationships; True Love; Finding True Love; The Men We Never Knew, and the classic on the psychological journey of ending a relationship, Coming Apart. Daphne has been a six-time guest on Oprah. Her work has been featured on hundreds of radio programs, as well as in newspapers and magazines throughout the country. Debra Silverman is an astrologer and psychotherapist. She has been in private practice for 32 years. She has a unique approach to both psychology and astrology that has brought her world-class status. For the past seven years Debra has had the honor of teaching at the internationally-renowned Esalen Institute. She has written columns for parenting magazines in the U.S. and Canada and starred on a radio show in Vancouver for many years. Debra's specialty is blending astrology and psychology to help clients understand their life lessons, unique purpose, strengths and challenges. Her work is based on Jungian psychology and the four primal elements of Water, Air, Earth and Fire. She teaches that an awareness of unique behavioral tendencies under stress allows us to have understanding and compassion for ourselves and each other. During times of crisis some of us want to be alone, some need to talk, while others get busy; it is essential in the name of emotional wisdom to know how to deal with ourselves and our loved ones with sensitivity and grace. This is the theme to Debra's work: the continual pursuit of wisdom and integrity and the honoring of the individual. Debra holds an M.A. from Antioch University in Clinical Psychology. She trained for her mental health credentials at Harvard University where she specialized in Dance Therapy. Throughout her career, Debra has pursued a passionate study of Esoteric Healing, Astrology and Metaphysics.

Robert Taylor- Sent to the United States in 1980 by his mentor, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, to avoid imprisonment for his anti-apartheid activity, Robert V. Taylor has spent a lifetime integrating personal spirituality with the question of how we each leave a footprint of compassion in the world. His new book I'm Spiritual Not Religious: Your Guide To An Ethical Life offers a path to an integrated life of purpose. Robert's leadership of one of the largest Episcopal congregations in the United States was known for engaging spirituality with implications for personal and public action. In his own life this has been expressed in more than 20 years of work to end homelessness in New York and Seattle.

Lisa Oz was born July 20, 1963 in Philadelphia, PA and received her undergraduate degree from Bryn Mawr College (1985), where she was the award winning captain of her college tennis team. The Human Energy Field and Chakras: Chakras are spinning energy centers located within the subtle body of the auric field. They function as receivers and transmitters of life energy. There are seven primary chakras, aligned in a vertical column from the pelvic floor to the crown of the head. They form the main centers of a system that contains thousands of smaller energy points. This complex circuitry holds within it the keys to our evolution and "whole-ness." The term chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning wheel or disc. Descriptions of the chakras first appeared in the Vedas, ancient spiritual texts dating back to 2,000 B.C. Spiritual seekers used the chakras as a focus of meditation to raise consciousness.

Holy Eckert: As a certified trainer of Nonviolent Communication, I see every day how lives are improved whenever we move from a place of judgment to a place of compassion. Anger changes to curiosity, blame transforms to generosity, and suspicion evolves to trust. In 1999, I first felt the power of NVC as a way to increase the effectiveness and enjoyment of my parenting. Not only did I find an immediate improvement in my connection with my son, but in all my other relationships as well. Suddenly, I could show sensitivity to others without giving up my own needs. I had tools to deepen intimacy and resolve conflicts peacefully. I found more ease in everyday conversations. Through NVC, I have learned how to transform judgments of myself and others without giving up my values. This precious skill has helped me to be a better listener, to express myself more clearly, and to connect with the pure intention behind any action. Most of all, I have come to trust in every person's innate compassion and the unity of our human race.
