Tasha Smith, Your Journey From Within
– The JOYELY Podcast with Sheryl Lynn Episode 27, Tasha Smith
I am an old soul and lover of life who believes in chasing my dreams. I believe our biggest gift in life is time, so I try to cherish every moment. For me, life is a journey that I’m not afraid to face just because things get messy.
Previously in my career, I oversaw 400 companies, personally consulted over 150 businesses, and have since built several of my own successful companies from the ground up. Then following my family’s tradition I became a 4th Generation Chiropractor. After 7 years of running my own chiropractic practice and trying to raise my family, I realized I was struggling with severe burnout.
In 2018, after several years of searching for what was wrong and why I finally listened to my intuition and followed my heart. I sold my successful, waiting list practice and have spent the last 2 years being a full-time mother to my daughter, Lilyana, who is my most treasured blessing. She has challenged me to dig deep, redefine my purpose, and figure out what really matters.
I have learned from this experience that living out your true calling can be a lonely path to walk when no one else can see or feel what you are professionally and/or personally struggling with. Our society pushes us to chase only success and happiness, yet I believe we sometimes forget to listen. Not to others, but to ourselves for in these moments of uncertainty, discomfort, and sometimes pain is the moments that define who we truly are.
I now enjoy spending more time with those I love and indulging in nature’s beauty through gardening, hiking, and spending time in the mountains. I am grateful for this time which allowed me to redefine my purpose and reflect on my true passion.
For this next chapter, I am being called to consult those who are serving others that are heavily burdened by all the stressors that high achievers experience.
With my background in corporate America and coming from a family of entrepreneurs, I have personally experienced the trials and tribulations all successful entrepreneurs encounter that come with success.
I love adventure and the challenge of chasing growth both professionally and personally and am passionate about helping other professionals redefine their purpose within both their business and personal life.
