On September 17, 2004, Barry went from happy, healthy, and whole to fully paralyzed overnight — struck by Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a rare neurological disease. What followed was 144 days across three hospitals, two years in a hospital bed at home, and four years in a wheelchair. Today, Barry gets around with the help of a 6.5-foot walking wand, still needs assistance 12 hours a day, and yet swims two miles a day, six days a week. That journey from devastation to Joy is the heartbeat of everything Barry teaches.

Violinist and Photographer Endre Balogh. On the occasion of his New York debut, when he was only 16, the New York Times called Endre Balogh â€œa major new talentâ€ and concluded that â€œhis accomplishments are nothing less than prodigiousâ€. His Hungarian mother had been a member of the Los Angeles Philharmonic for many years. Under the nurturing care of his mother and the guidance of Joseph Borisoff Piastro, his teacher, he played nine public concerts at age four and his first concerto as soloist at age 6. In 2004, after severely curtailing his touring concert schedule in order to spend more time near home with his wife and children, Endre rapidly began to hone his passion for photography and graphic arts. In 2015 Endre was named â€œNumber Threeâ€ among the â€œTop Ten Photographers in California” as well as receiving the â€œ2015 Nature Photographer Of the Yearâ€ award given by the Professional Photographers of California. Above all, he is devoted to his wife, Mona, and his four children.

Aaron Hirschhorn was the Founder and CEO of DogVacay, a consumer marketplace app for dog sitting and dog walking. Since its founding in 2011, DogVacay raised $47m from investors including Benchmark Capital and Andreessen Horowitz and generated over $100m in revenue. DogVacay merged with Rover (rover.com) in April 2017 to create what is now a $1B pet services company.
