    The Jerry Springer Podcast

The Jerry Springer Podcast: Tales, Tunes and Tomfoolery is a weekly mix of comedy, liberal political talk and roots music performed by up and coming song writers and groups. Jerry is joined by Jene Galvin and Megan Hils as they compare their dissimilar lives, convo about events of the day and occasionally welcome a phone guest, some real and others you wonder. Like State Senator Tip Kemper, who recently proposed a literacy bill requiring citizens to read a book a month and submit a written report to the government at the post office. But in the middle of each episode, Jerry shows his serious side with a unique take on a current political or social issue drawing from his years as Cincinnati’s mayor and top ranked news anchor. Performed before a small audience at the Folk School Coffee Parlor in Ludlow, Kentucky, The Jerry Springer Podcast is live streamed at jerrryspringer.com and Facebook Live and archived on the podcast’s website and all major podcast apps.

How Does The Jerry Springer Show Get Put Together? Ep 81 Nov 08, 2016
    Show notes

Jene says corporate said not to let Jerry tell the hearing aid joke anymore, at risk of having pay withheld. Will he tell it... again? Megan and Jene ask Jerry to tell about his doing the Price is Right around the country. Any stories “from the road?” Jene tells the story about his political confrontation with the owner of a B&B in rural Ohio where he stayed for a night during his bike ride last week on the Ohio to Erie Trail. (She had a Trump sign in the business’ front yard and the breakfast conversation got tense.) We wonder what should be on Jerry’s tombstone: Maybe, “My Bad.” Speaking of his TV show, we ask Jerry to explain the process of how a typical show is put together running from when someone contacts them with a relationship grievance to it being on the air. Jerry discusses the infamous decision by James Comey to announce the FBI was reading more emails related to Hillary Clinton. Musical Guest: Lost Coast

Jene tells shockingly how his uncle Antonio just died and how on his deathbed last week he announced he was changing his lifelong Democratic affiliation to Republican. He told Jene why. The group discusses getting Tales, Tunes, and Tomfoolery tattoos. How some of the worst tattoos are of Jerry on peoples' bodies. Jene talks about a guitar he gave Jerry for his birthday. Bob Dylan just got the Nobel Prize, and when Jerry was mayor of Cincinnati, Dylan received the key to the city from Jerry. Jerry explains how he got the Eagles, Kenny Rogers, Dylan, Linda Rondstadt, and others to perform in Cincinnati. Then Jerry discusses the civil war within the Republican party. How Trump has damaged it for the next decade. Trump puts himself first before his country and everyone else. Where are the leaders of the Republican party? Twitter Phenomenon Jerry Springer: Ep. 79 Oct 26, 2016
    Show notes

People have started petitions to remove the Trump name from the front of their buildings. Is the damage Trump has done to his business palpable, and is it permanent? People ask, how do you guys do Facebook Live? With some elaborate rig of video gear? No -- we record with Jerry Springer’s actual phone hanging from a tripod. Speaking of social media, Jerry’s Twitter following is growing with his short, funny comments on this election cycle. Become a Jerry Twitter follower today. Jene asks Jerry to tell about his trip to the Cubs game with his grandson and family. And speaking of his grandson, his own sports prowess is growing making it likely, Jene claims, that he’ll get an unneeded college sports scholarship one day proving once again the system is rigged against us working class slobs. Jene tells the audience Jerry is going to tell the hearing aid joke in a second for the last time, and PLEASE do not laugh, not even one of you. You’ve all heard it many times before. And as Megan points out, “He only does it because you all laugh.” He tells the joke and we see what happens. Jerry goes in depth on what the Christian Right's reasoning is for supporting Trump for President. How the president is the symbol of our country.
