2026 Superflex Rookie Draft: Offense + IDP May 07, 2026

This isn't a mock draft. It's a real six-round rookie draft with real prizes on the line—and a format unlike anything else in the IDP space.

Six IDP analysts and six members of The IDP Show Discord and Substack community face off in a 12-team superflex rookie draft. Every team must draft three offensive players and three IDPs, any position, any order. The team with the highest scoring roster after three years takes home the prize pool, including a Devon Witherspoon autographed jersey and an annual subscription to The IDP Show website.

In this episode of The IDP After Show, Jake and Scott discuss some players that they are buying, selling, or holding as free agency rapidly approaches. They talk about what they are doing with some of the biggest names in pending free agents: Kaden Elliss, Trey Hendrickson, Devin White, Jaelan Phillips, Jaquan Brisker, and Alontae Taylor.

The guys wrap up a show by talking about two second-year players whose outlook might become clearer after the dust has settled from free agency: Kevin Winston and Travis Hunter. Since Hunter is a unicorn, they also shake up the rules for him and discuss at what ranges they would be a seller, buyer, or holder.

The Super Bowl is behind us, which means the 2026 NFL offseason is officially underway! While there are many things we are looking forward to, like free agency, the NFL draft, startup season, and then the redraft push, one of the highlights of IDP in 2025 was the D-UP contest by FastDraft. In this episode, hosts Scott Soltis and Jake Kohlhagen take a look back at D-UP 2025 with an eye towards this year’s contest. They share some observations from the inaugural year of this exciting product.

Highlights include a discussion of the best configurations at the top of your drafts, whether we should interpret 2025 results with caution as we plan for 2026, the best slots to draft from, and whether young players (rookies and sophomores) are worth the risk in the D-UP format. The guys wrap up with some thoughts on what they hope to see in a 2026 version of the contest (and beyond).
