This situation put us in a fast track life where we had to mature immediately. I quckly understood the importance of preparation, hard work, and respect. He returned to his beloved Ranger Regiment, at 1/75th, from 99-01 as BN Senior Medic. He was then selected to be the Joint Special Operations Medic Course, Ranger Liaison. He served as Trauma instructor and later became the first Ranger NCOIC of the Special Operations Combat Medic Course and retired from active duty in 2007.
