    Hi! I’m Karen Hall, Host of The Hero Within Podcast. Today’s episode deals with a universal question we all ask at some point in our life.
    What do we do when our prayers go unanswered? Kathryn Wilson, the host of the podcast Unstoppable Joy, shares how she dealt with a curve ball when she and her husband were in Bible college. She delves into her wrestle with God, in which she surrendered to Him and learned that He sees brokenness as beautiful. This experience ultimately strengthened her faith, taught her valuable lessons, and brought her closer to God.

    I’m a nurse practitioner, single-mom, worship leader and Christian minister who also has experienced the heartache of marriage to a drug addict, divorce, and homelessness. Most of all, I am an overcomer who understands what you are going through, speaks life into your situation, brings you hope and encouragement that you, too, can live a life of unstoppable joy! I’m not here to give you pat answers or cliché scripture verses. I am here to honestly share with you the mindset hurdles, and the spiritual and emotional barriers I had to overcome on my journey to becoming a comeback queen. It is my deepest desire that as I share my story, that you too will find unstoppable joy! In addition to graduating with a Master's in Nursing and currently working as a Family Nurse Practitioner, I graduated from the Mount Hope Bible Training Institute and became a Certified Christian minister.

    I remember learning about the ego and its different roles, but it was eye-opening to learn that when we feel triggered, the ego is teaching us where we are wounded. Self-compassion is the anecdote when we feel triggered.

    Hi! I’m Karen Hall, Host of The Hero Within Podcast and today we reflect on Rusty Labuschagne’s story and the lessons he learned during 10 years in prison after being wrongfully convicted of murder. We share his thoughts from his book, “Beating Chains,” with additional quotes and scriptures.

    As a successful self-made businessman in 2003, Rusty was wrongly convicted of murder and spent 10 harrowing years under horrendous conditions in Zimbabwe’s prisons. He lost everything and became angry and bitter.
