Welcome to episode 54 of The Great Deception Podcast, Part 2 of the Great Fires of October 8 1871 in Chicago, Peshtigo, Michigan and more. I will read thru first hand accounts of the horrors of that night and those thereafter and discuss what happened. The description of the scenes are horrifying and the accounts give some insight into the devastation and what it took to survive. What could cause a fire so hot it would melt a bell? Partially melt a steel train wheel? What are fire balloons and why did witnesses report these in Peshtigo? We know this fire was not started by Mrs O'Leary's cow, so lets try to dive in and see what really caused this conflagration.

Chicago, Peshtigo, Michigan, Minnesota, Ontario all experienced almost simultaneous fires consuming nearly 4 million acres of land, thousands of lives, and turned stone & brick structures to dust. These conflagrations have fantastical first hand accounts, many theories as to the cause, but the result was the same...devastation. HH Bancroft's Misrepresentations of Early California History Corrected from 1894 Sep 26, 2022

Welcome to episode 50 of The Great Deception Podcast where we look at more deception in the historical narrative. HH Bancroft, Historian of the Pacific States, credited with more than 60,000 pages and 39 volumes of history of the west and natives. He has a library at UC Berkley named after him til this day. Yet in 1894 The Society of California Pioneers, which Bancroft was an honorary member, wrote a collection of Bancroft misrepresentations and attacking his credibility. Bancroft is one of many characters in the narrative who are credited with writing his-story, many which need to be exposed as Bancroft is here.

From 1854-1929 nearly 250,000 children were relocated from around the United States to Midwest/Western America. Why were there so many orphans, 30,000 in New York City in 1850? The children were transported against their will to families across the nation mainly as laborers before child labor laws. Welcome to The Great Deception Podcast where I head back to Tartaria. These excerpts are from a 1629 book titled 'A Little Description of the Great World' and the author provides insight into Tartars. The author looks at the different clans within Tartaria and their various lifestyles. The book speaks of the Tartars defeating Egyptains, Persians, Romans, Turks, Macedonians and more. The author claims Tartar leader Tamerlane conquered more provinces in his time than Rome did in 800 years. Then he dives into America and makes the claim that Western Americans at the time were the progeny of Tartars. Enjoy the episode and let me know what you think!
