It began with a friendship between two boys—and a falling out between their mothers. When that relationship soured, the adults cut ties, and the children were pulled apart with them. But according to Tony Ramirez, one of the mothers wanted more than distance. She wanted retaliation.

Tony says a curse was placed on his mother, intended to punish her for what had happened between the two families. But whatever was unleashed didn’t stop with its intended target. Strange and frightening activity began affecting Tony as well, leaving him caught in the middle of something he had no part in creating.

Years later, he looks back on what happened and the possibility that one person’s anger opened the door to something much darker.
