Scarlet Jimmies Ep. 3: 49ers at Bengals Postgame Sep 16, 2019
    Show notes

Scarlet Jimmies is back to recap the 49ers 41-10 victory. In this episode, Rich Madrid joins me, Kyle Posey, and we bring you our five takeaways from the game. We start out by talking about how the play-action passing game was so effective on Sunday afternoon. From there, we go into some defensive players that stood out. Kwon Alexander made an impact, so we showed him plenty of love for his energy and trash-talking. We go back to the offense, where we gush about the game Kyle Shanahan called, and how efficient the offense looked today. When you look at their numbers, it was a video game. 572 yards? Seriously? The offense was much-improved on third down and in the red zone as well. We touch on Jimmy Garoppolo's game, and wonder if he played like he did Week 2 will the 49ers make the playoffs? Finally, the elephant in the room. How will the 49ers deal with the loss of Joe Staley, who will replace him, and what will the offense look like now? Learn more about your ad choices. Scarlett Jimmies Ep. 2: Jimmy Garoppolo, and the process vs. results Aug 21, 2019
    Show notes

My good pal Seth Galina is today’s guest. Seth is a quarterback coach, and has coached at the college level. He writes about quarterbacks often, and does numerous twitter breakdowns. We talk about San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo at length. We went throw for throw, discussing all the fine details of the play. From who is at fault to the route concepts. If you’re a fan of digging deep into plays, this episode is for you. We also talk about Garoppolo’s ceiling, his mechanics, and what he needs to work on. In Seth’s opinion, Garoppolo is the most aesthetically pleasing quarterback in the NFL, so he will always root for him. The end result may not always be what you want, but the process is a beautiful thing to watch. Check the episode out below. Enjoy. Learn more about your ad choices.
