We discuss: A theological boy band? Dean ranks God and Muhammad in his top five; The viral "Taco" moment that rattled Trump more than actual criminal charges; Elon Musk, Stephen Miller's wife, and the weirdest alleged White House Throuple ever; why the Democratic Party needs to take comedy seriously, and what's holding them back from hiring real satirists.

PROGRAMMING NOTE: We talk to Joy Reid LIVE Friday at 2pm ET!

Dear Humans,
Will America… make it? On today's episode of The God Pod, comedian and co-star of MAX's Have I Got News For You Michael Ian Black joins God and Jesus to discuss politics, his career, and more with his signature dry humor!
Our chat with Michael Ian Black picks up halfway through our time with him because we were having some internet issues, but once things worked correctly, our interview with him was a blast!
Michael Ian Black:
Wonders why the Pope didn't die when he and his wife were visiting, as he had hoped.
Talks about his most meaningful gig to date.
Discusses why he doesn't practice religion.
Tune in for a really fun time with one of God's favorite people, and see if God can get back the love that he is giving Michael.
Love,
God
Dear Humans,
If you're looking to feel hopeful and seeking signs of empathy, today's new episode is for you! This week on The God Pod, God and Jesus are joined by bestselling author Brad Meltzer to discuss his new book, Make Magic: The Book of Inspiration You Didn't Know You Needed!
We discuss:
How Brad turned a beloved commencement speech he wrote into his new book, and why his message resonates with humans.
How he used stories of rejection to inspire his son's graduating class.
Empathy once again comes up in our conversations with the Humans, and Brad explains what the internet is designed to do.
His incredible, wide-ranging career: From writing thrillers to writing comics to writing the obituary for the one and only Stan Lee!
Why comics have always been "woke," and Brad traces it back to some of Stan Lee's earliest comics.
Another upcoming book he has in the works about The Beatles, for children!
Don't miss this inspiring, hopeful, and thought episode of The God Pod!
Love,
God

Dear Humans,
In today's new episode of The God Pod, Jesus and I are joined by Comedian Alex Hooper who tells us about his brand new comedy special "Brace Yourself," which is available to watch NOW on Apple TV, Amazon Prime, YouTube, and Google Play!
We discuss:
How Alex accidentally stumbled into a comedy career.
When Alex's life took a dramatic turn after he got married.
How he beat cancer, and how he turned his stories into a comedy act that are now featured in "Brace Yourself".
His roast of Simon Cowell that was too hot for TV and had to be cut by producers!
For the first time on The God Pod, a comedian roasts God and Jesus!
I hope you enjoy watching this episode as much as we did recording it. Alex was a hilarious guest and we had a blast with him. Thanks, humans!
Love,
God
Dear Humans,
Easter Weekend ended with the death of The Pope - mere hours of spending time with Hell Spawn JD Vance (not a coincidence) - and later that day, Jesus and I were joined by comedian Trae Crowder on The God Pod!
Trae Crowder, aka "The Liberal Redneck" recently released a second special, Trash Daddy, which premiered Thursday, March 13th. Watch it on YouTube!
Elsewhere on today's episode:
Trae shares his thoughts on The Pope and if The Vatican will roll back their progress to a more fire and brimstone-y Pope.
Our thoughts on one very Pizza-licious Pope, and why his name might change to Pope Calzone.
We have a laugh over Larry David's response to Bill Maher's recent sucking up to Donold.
We discuss how to prevent future generations from being indoctrinated by the right.
God and Jesus adore Trae and were so excited to have him on the podcast. Enjoy!
Love,
God and Jesus
Dear Humans,
Jesus and I sit down with the man who once said, "The question isn't 'Is there a God?' The question is 'Why do people believe in God?'"
That's right. Penn Jillette is on the God Pod!
Not to oversell it, but it might just be the greatest thing you'll ever witness in your entire life. Seriously. If you've ever wanted to watch Penn Jillette mock God to his face…this is your moment.
Here's what we got into:
Faith and doubt — Penn shares his real thoughts on religion, atheism, and why he respects believers who actually walk the walk.
Do Penn and Teller hang out offstage? — You'll find out. Their dynamic is fascinating and refreshingly un-Hollywood.
How they made it big — The unlikely road from street performances to a long-running Vegas residency. They still can't believe it.
Bob Dylan deep cuts — We asked for one favorite. He gave us a whole playlist. It's delightful.
If Bullshit! came back — What would Penn call out now? From conspiracy grifters to political hypocrisy, he's still on fire.
His new novel, Felony Juggler — Coming May 6. Pre-order it now!
I hope you enjoy watching this episode as much as we did recording it. Thanks, humans!
Love,
God
Comedian and commentator Pete Dominick stopped by for a divine check-in, and things got real.
He opened up about his work helping veterans and men in crisis. Then he looked Me and Jesus in the eye and asked, "Where were You when I needed You?" And lo, the room got awkward.
Pete also shared the daily routines that keep him sane in a collapsing world, and stories from his time hanging with comedy legends like Lewis Black and Artie Lange. The man's seen some things.
And yes, we talked about Donold's big tariff collapse. Pete saw it coming. A lot of us did.
Consider checking out Pete's show on Substack: Sit Down With Pete!
Dear Humans,
Karan Soni once played My assistant on Miracle Workers. Now instead of pretending with Steve Buscemi, he's talking to the real thing.
We talked about his new film, A Nice Indian Boy, and what it means to navigate family, culture, and identity in a country that feels like it's falling apart.
We also touched on tariffs, current events, and how anyone is supposed to stay joyful when everything around them is burning.
It's funny. It's thoughtful. It might be the calmest thing I've published all week.
Take a breath. Press play.
Dear Humans,
Legendary comedian Lewis Black sat down with God (and Jesus) yesterday for a heartwarming, hilarious, and surprisingly spiritual interview.
Not to oversell it, but it might just be the greatest thing you'll ever witness in your entire life. Seriously. If you've ever wanted to watch Lewis Black ask God if he's going to Heaven…this is your moment.
In this episode:
Lewis Black's biggest question for God and Jesus now that he's face-to-face with the divine
Lewis Black talks to God about getting into Heaven
How comedy has evolved (and unraveled) in the age of Trump
Tariffs on penguins?!?
A much-needed palate cleanser: Lewis' "heroin sport" and how sports still bring hope
Why Lewis is leaning into empathy onstage, and may pivot to a full-blown "empathy act"
God and Jesus make Lewis Black laugh!
