Matthew 11:25-30
At that time Jesus exclaimed:
"I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth,
for although you have hidden these things
from the wise and the learned
you have revealed them to little ones.
Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will.
All things have been handed over to me by my Father.
No one knows the Son except the Father,
and no one knows the Father except the Son
and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him."
"Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light."
Our meditation today is a Lectio Divina, which is Latin for Divine Reading. This ancient form of meditation has 4 steps: to read, to meditate, to pray, and to contemplate on a specific passage from Scripture. The repetition of the passage followed each time by reflecton allows us to treat the Scripture as the Living Word of God, delving into a deeper meaning and understanding with each repetition and reflection. This helps us to become one with the Scripture, turning this meditation into a powerful conversation with God.
Today's Scripture is from Psalm 27:14
"Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord."

"Doubting Thomas" by Nickel Creek
What will be left when I've drawn my last breath
Besides the folks I've met and the folks who know me?
Will I discover a soul-saving love
Or just the dirt above and below me?
I'm a doubting Thomas
I took a promise
But I do not feel safe
Oh me of little faith
Sometimes I pray for a slap in the face
Then I beg to be spared 'cause I'm a coward
If there's a master of death, I bet he's holding his breath
As I show the blind and tell the deaf about his power
I'm a doubting Thomas
I can't keep my promises
'Cause I don't know what's safe
Oh me of little faith
Can I be used to help others find truth
When I'm scared I'll find proof that it's a lie?
Can I be led down a trail dropping bread crumbs
To prove I'm not ready to die?
Please give me time to decipher the signs
Please forgive me for time that I've wasted
I'm a doubting Thomas
I'll take your promise
Though I know nothing's safe
Oh me of little faith
Oh me of little faith
"Jesus, My Lord, My God, My All" by The Vigil Project (feat. John Finch)
Jesus, my Lord, my God, my all
How can I love Thee as I ought?
And, how revere this wondrous gift
So far surpassing hope or thought?
Sweet Sacrament, we Thee adore
O, make us love Thee more and more
O, make us love Thee more and more
Had I but Mary's sinless heart
To love Thee with, my dearest King
O with what bursts of fervent praise
Thy goodness, Jesus, would I sing
Sweet Sacrament, we Thee adore
O, make us love Thee more and more
O, make us love Thee more and more
Sound, sound His praises higher still,
And come, ye angels, to our aid,
'Tis God, 'tis God, the very God
Whose power both man and angels made
Sweet Sacrament, we Thee adore
O, make us love Thee more and more
O, make us love Thee more and more
Sweet Sacrament, we Thee adore
O, make us love Thee more and more
O, make us love Thee more and more
Sweet Sacrament, we Thee adore
O, make us love Thee more and more
O, make us love Thee more and more
