11th SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME
"Seeds, Scattered and Sown"
Mark 4: 26 - 34
He said, “To what shall we compare the kingdom of God,
or what parable can we use for it? It is like a mustard seed that, when it is sown in the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on the earth. But once it is sown, it springs up and becomes the largest of plants and puts forth large branches,
so that the birds of the sky can dwell in its shade.”
O Virgin Mary most powerful Mother of Mercy, Queen of heaven and earth, in accordance with your wish made known at Fatima, I consecrate myself today to your Immaculate Heart.
To you I entrust all that I have, all that I am. Reign over me Dearest Mother that I may be yours in prosperity in adversity, in joy and in sorrow, in health and in sickness, in life and in death. I, a faithless sinner, renew and ratified today in thy heart O Immaculate Mother the vows of my baptism. I renounced forever Satan, his pomps and his works and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ the Incarnate Wisdom to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before.
Queen of the Most Holy Rosary in the presence of all the heavenly court, I choose Thee this day for my Mother. I deliver and consecrate to Thee and to Thy Immaculate Heart as Thy child and slave of love, my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, and even the value of all my good actions past, present and future leaving to Thee, the entire and full right of disposing of me and all that belongs to me without exception according to Thy good pleasure, for the greater glory of God, in time and an eternity. Amen.
It's Concert Friday at The God Minute!
All of Christianity, really, comes down to this amazing feast...
Proverbs 23:26
"My Son, give me your heart."
Today, in anticipation of the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus tomorrow, we want to pray with the Heart of Jesus that His love and grace may fill us with all we need to honor Him by our thoughts, words and deeds.
And who better to share a reflection than Sr. Grace, who belongs to the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus?!
Music Selection:
"Jesus The Lord" - St Louis Jesuits
"Sacred Heart of Jesus" - Will Frey
One of the Spiritual Works of Mercy is To Bear Wrongs Patiently. How patient are we in our response to bearing a wrong or when we have been wronged by another.
Patience is indeed a virtue we need to use especially when our response to a wrong doing involves another.
PROVERBS 17: 6
Peggy is a new grandma! Well, has been for a little bit now and is loving it. So when she read this scripture today from Proverbs about the blessing of children it really hit home. But how about those of us who do not have children? Is Proverbs excluding the childless?
Well, like so much in God's Word, the truth is sometimes hidden from plain view. Peggy helps us see it in today's reflection.
Jabez prayed to the God of Israel: “Oh, that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that your hand would be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” And God granted him his prayer request.

The 2nd Luminous Mystery is The Wedding at Cana. The magnificent words of our Blessed Mother to the servers, "Do Whatever He Tells You," is superb advise for all of us seeking to follow the right path in our lives.
Concert Friday is an opportunity for us to allow music to lead us in prayer. We choose a song(s) that speaks to us and leads us in our prayer.
Today's selection was offered to us by one of our listeners. The selection is called "Still We Sing Alleluia," by Paulo K. Tirol. The video can be found in the "THIS WEEK" menu on our website.
