When many of Jesus’ disciples returned to their former way of life after Jesus confronted them on their belief of Him and His words, Jesus turns to the 12 apostles and asks them, “Do you also want to leave?” Simon Peter responds, “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God.” What a profound response.
SCRIPTURE
John 6: 60 - 69
GOD MOMENT
“Lord, to whom shall we go?"

The Scapular Devotion
The Scapular is how to prepare us for a happy death . This reliance on Mary's intercession for the gift of final perseverance derives historically from her promise to Saint Simon Stock that all who die wearing the scapular will not suffer the eternal flames of hell. This has since become known as the scapular promise.

We're uploading two Concert Friday songs today- depending on your mood. One is loud and one is soft and quiet.
This is the soft, quiet one. Its by Jonathan David Helser and called 'Abba". I listen to this song almost every night as I am going to bed. It's a beautiful reminder of the same truth that our LOUD song is also about: We belong to a God who holds us in His love.
Go back to the list of Daily Prayer and you will see the LOUD one in the list (it's got the same cover artwork).
Enjoy!

The soft, peaceful, quieter song today is one I've used before but maybe you've forgotten. Its by Jonathan David Helser and called 'Abba". I listen to this song almost every night as I am going to bed. It's a beautiful reminder of the same truth that our LOUD song is also about: We belong to a God who holds us in His love.
Go back to the list of Daily Prayer and you will see the other one in the list (it's got the same cover artwork).

Guest presenter today is Father Bill Kraft, the pastor of Holy Cross Parish in Linden, California. He shares with us his homily to his parish family reflecting on the parable of the mustard seed that leads us to a further understanding of the gift of faith. The Lord will allow the seed of faith to grow if we do what we're supposed to do, namely, stay present.

One of the most wonderful aspects about our God is that he never let's go. God never gives up or gets exhausted clinging to us in love. We are his beloved, as Sr. Kara shares today. But it's the way the message comes to her that is most striking. Peanut butter and jelly?

There is no upside to being a gossip. Gossips hurt neighbors, divide friends, and damage reputations and relationships. The Bible labels gossips as untrustworthy and meddlesome and even as worthy of death. At your best in Christ, you don’t want to be one. Today we can change our conversations to build up rather than tear down.
