DO NOT FEAR
So often through our day we are afraid of the challenges and difficulties that come our way. We believe that we have to handle all these things on our own. We forget to turn to the One who promised He would be with us always. Today, let us allow Him to help us!

Full of Grace,

of thy womb, Jesus.

We've been reflecting on one of the Vincentian virtues all week--Humility. So for our Concert Friday song Im picking one that you all know quite well that speaks to the very heart of the virtue....
Just with a Scottish bent....
GOD'S WILL ?
How do you know if what you're doing is the will of God? The quote from St. Vincent DePaul today, "If after so much effort and prayer the matter is not successful, it will be a clear sign that God does not will it," is a wonderful way of looking at whether or not what we do, desire or discern, is of God.
SCRIPTURE
Hebrews 10: 36
(Psalm 4)
GOD MOMENT
"Thy will be done."
MUSIC
"Only A Shadow" -Cary Landry
"Watch Over Us"
As we continue our September Spirit highlighting groups in the Vincentian Family-- today we reflect a bit on the religious orders St. Vincent founded, The Congregation of the Mission and the Daughters of Charity (with St. Louise de Marillac).
MUSIC
Stay in the Dark by Lambert
Jesus says in Scripture, "Anyone who is my disciple must take up their cross and follow me." Perhaps the hardest thing to do in the Christian life. But as Justin reflects today, wouldn't it be easier to do it together?
HUMILITY AND THANKSGIVING
Humility calls us to give thanks to the Good Giver for every good gift, recognizing our dependence on God in delivering our hearts from self-sufficiency.
“We should spend as much time in thanking God for his benefits as we do in asking him for them.” -St. Vincent DePaul
SCRIPTURE
Daniel 2:23
(Psalm 47)
GOD MOMENT
"Thank you Lord for this moment"
MUSIC
"Now Thank We All Our God"
As always, on Sundays our reflection is a video. Either click here or go to our BLOG menu on the app to watch it. The audio from the video is posted here as a podcast.
