Enshrining Infanticide in Ohio Nov 13, 2023

Show notes

Gary discusses the recent vote in Ohio and the typical diversionary tactics that went on with the wording of the referendum. Rather than clearly stating the intent of the proposed amendment (i.e., keeping abortion legal in the state), the ballot included many other "reproductive" buzzwords on it that muddied the issue.

Waiting for the Great Disappearing Act Nov 10, 2023

Show notes

Gary continues responding to Pastor David Jeremiah's book, The Great Disappearance. The major problem for rapture proponents like Pastor Jeremiah is the complete lack of biblical evidence of what they say is "ready to happen any minute." Verses and passages need to be cherry-picked and strung together like a jigsaw puzzle to make their system "work." Even then, it still doesn't make biblical sense.

The Great Disappearance (Has No Signs) Nov 08, 2023

Show notes

Gary interacts with an interview between CBN's Sheila Walsh and Pastor David Jeremiah. In this first part, Gary deals with Ms. Walsh's lead-up to the interview, which is based on Pastor Jeremiah's new book, The Great Disappearance, which is based on... wait for it... the rapture of the church.

But Things Are Different Now Nov 06, 2023

Show notes

Gary responds to a recent interview between Glenn Beck and Max Lucado about the state of the world and the war between Israel and Hamas. Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 are brought up as evidence that this current war is a key indicator that the "end is near" (again). Gary refutes this view (again) with history and biblical exegesis.

The Hypocritical Hate of the Left Nov 03, 2023

Show notes

Gary discusses several recent articles about the new Speaker of the House and how he claims that the "Bible is his standard." The Southern Poverty Law Center, former Press Secretary Jen Psaki, and many others are piling on the disinformation and propaganda to scare Americans about the "radical" views of Speaker Johnson.

The Christian Life and Character Nov 01, 2023

Show notes

In this interview with Darren Doane, Gary discusses the historical conditions and motivations behind The Christian Life and Character of the Civil Institutions of the United States. Interestingly, the political climate in 1864 was not much different from our own. Christians and non-Christians alike need to be reminded of the impact of God's Word and the Church on society and culture in every generation.

What You Don't Know Can Hurt You Oct 30, 2023

Show notes

Gary discusses a recent interview that he did about America's Christian history and education. Our children are being harmed by what they are not being taught, as well as by what they are. Parents must first educate themselves and then pass this on to their children and grandchildren in many different ways and times.

The Battle for God's Land? Oct 27, 2023

Show notes

Gary responds to a recent article by Dr. Michael Brown that claims the promises made to Israel in Joshua 21 are not the fullness of what God was promising to the Jews. There are logical and historical problems with this—aside from Biblical ones—that are not being answered.

The Cruel Logic of Pure Materialism Oct 25, 2023

Show notes

Gary interviews author and screenwriter Brian Godawa about his short film and now full-length novel, Cruel Logic. Ideas have consequences in this theological thriller that puts real ideas to the test in a life and death challenge of pushing the antithesis.

The Paralysis of Pessimism Oct 23, 2023

Show notes

Christianity is a future-oriented worldview. Who inherits what we leave behind? How does our view of the future affect our attitude towards the future? God is the Author of the past, the present, and the future. He owns everything, including time. Does it matter if we live fearfully or hopefully? Very much so, as Gary points out in this important talk from several years ago.
