The Apologetics of Love and Existence Jul 31, 2024

Show notes

Gary discusses several topics and shows how biblical apologetics apply and pertain to ultimate questions. Metaphysical concepts like love and existence cannot be limited or defined by what we can see and test in a laboratory. The physical cannot explain the metaphysical. Materialists like Neil deGrasse Tyson and Richard Dawkins pretend that "science" has the answers and yet still live according to a metaphysical moral code of good and evil.

From 1864 to Now Jul 29, 2024

Show notes

In this interview with Darren Doane, Gary discusses the historical conditions and motivations behind The Christian Life and Character of the Civil Institutions of the United States. Interestingly, the political climate in 1864 was not much different from our own. Christians and non-Christians alike need to be reminded of the impact of God's Word and the Church on society and culture in every generation.

The Scripted Episode of Presidential Politics Jul 26, 2024

Show notes

The craziness of the current political situation is difficult to deny; it's like watching an episode of scripted television. Anyone who still believes that we live in a country "for the people" isn't paying attention. Facts don't matter, history doesn't matter, reality doesn't matter. The narrative is made up on the spot and attested to by the mainstream media, regardless how ridiculous it sounds.

Rich, Revelation, and the Rapture Jul 24, 2024

Show notes

Gary discusses a recent Tucker Carlson interview with country musician John Rich about Bible prophecy. Both Carlson and Rich point out some of the problems with the doctrine of the pre-trib rapture (there are many), including politics and foreign policy. Once again, it proves that eschatology is not a side-issue; it has massive real-world implications.

JD Vance and an Idol of Bread Jul 22, 2024

Show notes

Gary responds to certain Christians concerned with Donald Trump's VP pick, JD Vance. Despite many reasons that make him a good VP candidate, many are pointing to his Catholicism as concerning because he "worships an idol of bread," referring to the Roman Catholic view of the Lord's Supper (Communion). Gary points out that politics, and especially the current state, always involves picking the better candidate, rather than the best one.

Violent Rhetoric from the Left Jul 19, 2024

Show notes

Gary points out the ongoing hypocrisy of the media and social media allowing liberal celebrities to say and post the most outlandish comments about Donald Trump. How much did these violent statements influence the shooter who tried to take him out? The double-standard is nearly impossible to ignore, so much so that even some on the Left are beginning to notice.

How Partial is Your Preterism? Jul 17, 2024

Show notes

Gary answers a question from one of his YouTube videos about partial preterism, full preterism, and everything in between. There are disagreements among many commentators about which biblical verses refer to AD70 and which refer to the Second Coming. Gary also interacts with a recent article by Ken Gentry about this topic.

The Religion of Statism Jul 15, 2024

Show notes

Gary continues his interview with Paul Stevenson about politics and freedom and the decline of western culture. Gary points out that a biblical worldview was essentially assumed in both Britain and the United States for many years, but that worldview is steadily eroding.

Note: Gary's recording is rough in several places.

Career Politicians on Both Sides Jul 12, 2024

Show notes

Gary discusses international politics with Paul Edward Stevenson, a radio host from Britain. Political bureaucrats are the same all over the world and desire to have power in order to maintain control. While the promises are always to fix whatever is wrong, the result is always more government intrusion and loss of freedom.

Note: Gary's recording is rough in certain places, but the content is still very good.

Following the Science in Sports Jul 10, 2024

Show notes

Gary discusses the Olympics and other current events that help to destroy the illogical views being promoted by leftists and self-appointed cultural elites. Sports, especially track and field, cannot be made to serve the narrative of men and women being the same. The differences cannot be ignored, even by those who claim to "follow the science."
