The End of LIV Golf 1.0 & a New Tour Championship in 2028 Aug 27, 2026

Andy Johnson, Kevin Van Valkenburg, and Joseph LaMagna reconvene to discuss the latest news in men's professional golf as the 2026 season comes to a close. First, the trio each share one big takeaway from the league that was LIV Golf 1.0, with Kevin and Joseph providing a lasting memory from their time on the ground at LIV events. They wonder if LIV's money would have been better spent on building a championship-level golf course rather than a roster of players and debate what the future holds for LIV's "2.0" structure. Andy, Kevin, and Joseph then move on to the biggest news of this week: PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp's announcement of a new Tour Championship structure beginning in 2028. The three are all excited for this new-look match play format and focus on how to make the best television product possible out of two weeks of matches between the PGA Tour's top players.
