OG Pod - Silly Rabbit Jun 26, 2024

Show notes

It's your Wembsday dose of Zosny, but Big Wos is a DNP, out with Draft prep.

Clipped continues to deliver the messiest, soapiest programming on television as Donald Sterling is banned by the NBA in this episode.

The Doc Rivers hero narrative gains major steam as he makes a crucial call to Adam Silver, gets called the 'perfect coach' and celebrates in the sauna with LeVar Burton.

It's unclear whether we're supposed to have pity for V Stiviano, who stumbles through her famous Barbara Walters interview, but succeeds in adopting her two kids.

Shelly Sterling, after much urging from her lawyers, comes out against Donald and petitions him for divorce, while also taking control of the sale of the team.

Finally, after a locker room debate about the implications of the ban, the Clippers players are confronted by a fiery fake Draymond Green.

Show notes

Tom Haberstroh and Travonne Edwards are coming home!

Tom's excellent article uncovering inflated statistics during Michael Jordan's DPOY season has injected him into the frontlines of the GOAT war.

Now that Tom has been officially declared a 'Bron-sexual' on the Klutch payroll, we unpack what interested him in the story in the first place and how he got the tapes to review.

How is Tray feeling about his Chicago Bulls in the wake of shipping out Alex Caruso without recouping a first round pick? What's next for DeMar DeRozan?

Mini NBA Draft preview: What are the Hawks doing? What players have caught our eyes?

But most importantly: Will Tom give In N Out burger another chance on his west coast trip?

OG Pod - Is This Your Handwriting? Jun 19, 2024

Show notes

Zach Harper and Wosny Lambre are back with your Wembsday dose of Zosny.

Wos did the Ringer NBA show Group Chat live last night, but had a weird allergic reaction that somehow leads to a conversation about whippits.

Clipped delivered a messy, rewinding, flashback episode taking us to 1992, 2004, 2006 and 2008.

We learn about young Doc's feelings during the LA Riots, V Stiviano's reality show aspirations and Elgin Baylor's defiant resignation.

But more importantly than all of that, we get Ed O'Neill delivering Donald Sterling's iconic deposition.

Did Kawhi Leonard cut his hair? Tray reaches out to the photographer for the inside scoop on aggregation gone wild.

Will the Boston Celtics wrap up the championship with a home cooked meal? Or have the Dallas Mavericks been galvanized into a successful approach to the series?

OG Pod - Existential Purpose Jun 12, 2024

Show notes

Zach Harper, Wosny Lambre, Amin Elhassan, Tom Haberstroh and Ethan Sherwood Strauss are together once again.

Episode 3 of Clipped featured zero basketball, less Donald Sterling and an intimidating Adam Silver, but most importantly gave us an authentic Doc Rivers press conference.

With three Hall of Famers passing in a little over two weeks (Bill Walton, Chet Walker & Jerry West), we pay tribute to the logo and remember some of his innumerable accomplishments.

Finally, Ethan Strauss stops by to discuss the aggregation of his podcast with Amin & the Lakers coaching situation.

Patreon Exclusive: The Lakers handling of Jerry West's passing and the state of the organization.

OG Pod - LET THE GAMES BEGAN Jun 05, 2024

Show notes

Zach Harper and Wosny Lambre are back with your Wembsday dose of Zosny.

Amin Elhassan joins us to break down the 2 episode premiere of Clipped, taking us all the way back to the golden age of 2014 Los Angeles to discuss:

Which portrayals of the real-life people worked & which ones REALLY didn't
How the show delivered exposition for people who know nothing about the NBA
Whose insight was clearly used to shape the storytelling

Zosny is aligned on who they are picking for the NBA finals and also share which narratives drove them the most crazy in the last week without hoop.

Finally, JJ Redick wants everyone to know he's focused on calling the NBA finals for ABC and that 'Shams will be addressed' in the offseason.
