Ep. #345 - Chaos Walking Jun 19, 2021

Show notes

It's just back to the OP's this episode, for the discussion of the talent-packed, but passion-lite YA adaptation Chaos Walking, which honestly seems like a pretty heart-healthy way for Chaos to travel, but maybe it should check out public transit.

FH Mini 31 - Stu Sees Saws Jun 12, 2021

Show notes

Stu's always asking if we'd like to play a game, so it was probably only a matter of time before he'd turn to the topic of Saw. He recently ran the series, and wants to talk to Dan and Elliott about it. And what would any Saw-related media be without a twist? In this case, a radical shift in the episode after the ads. We hope you enjoy!

Show notes

Comedy couple Naomi Ekperigin and Andy Beckerman of the Couples' Therapy podcast, and performing/writing/starring in many wonderful things join us to discuss Mortal Kombat and also mortal-ity, given how sick Dan sounds in this one.

FH Mini 30 - The Sleuth About Cats and Dogs May 29, 2021

Show notes

In honor of Housebroken, the TV show that's kindly employed Mr. Elliott Kalan for part of this lousy quarantine (premiering 5/31 on Fox), Elliott quizzes the others about their preferences, to determine Dan and Stu's perfect pop culture pets

Ep. #343 - North, with Matt Singer May 22, 2021

Show notes

Editor of ScreenCrush, Matt Singer stops by The Flop House, and weirdly, he didn't want to talk about Gymkata. Instead, he forced us to experience North, the movie that Roger Ebert hated SO much that he named his book of bad movies after his review.

Ep. #341 - Godzilla vs. Kong, with Zander Cannon Apr 24, 2021

Show notes

From the dawn of time, humankind has dreamed of watching a giant lizard wrestle a big ape. Well, now humankind has Godzilla vs. Kong. Did it live up to our dreams? We enlisted the creator of Kaijumax, Zander Cannon, to help untangle our thoughts, as we spin along on this hollow Earth.

BTW: we know we promised you the Dark Phoenix live episode on our Twitter and IG, but technical issues stood in the way (those technical issues are that Dan somehow lost the file). In the unlikely event anyone has a recording or a bootleg, get in touch!

FH Mini #27 - Video Games Killed the Movie Star Apr 17, 2021

Show notes

Stuart tells us about the Hitman video games and the associated movies. At least, we think that's what this one is about. Honestly, it takes us a while to stay on topic.
