From “the love that dare not speak its name” to the clarion call of “Love is Love,” public acceptance of queer romance has transformed from snickering innuendo to the proud power couple. Being that it’s still Pride month, we thought we’d celebrate by talking generally about queer couples in comics and spotlighting some of our favorite LGBTQ+ relationships!

In that spirit, we thought we’d try out a segment we like to call A Comic on Comics. It’s where we ask one of our comedian friends or other sorts of interesting types who have never read comics (or barely have), have them read our favorite comic books, and then have them on the podcast to talk about it. We couldn’t think of a better first guest than our buddy Andrew Wagner, or a better comic for this first installment than the utterly stupendous All-Star Superman. Stan Lee, Thank You (Bonus) Nov 21, 2018

This is a small, but heartfelt tribute, we at the Fantom Zone recorded in honor of Stan Lee’s passing. There’s not a fan of comics that hasn’t been influenced by Stan Lee for the better, that hasn’t been touched by his imagination and his humanity--and we’re no exception. Stan Lee was a creative giant and we will always feel deeply indebted to him for capturing our imagination with the characters he brought to life and the worlds that they inhabit. He inspired us with his stories, taught us to believe in ourselves, and to believe in the plain decency of the human spirit and the heroism at the heart of the human condition. R.I.P. Stan Lee. You will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. Excelsior!
