REBROADCAST: The Victims of Samuel Little, Part 3: Blood Red Road Jun 30, 2021

Show notes

During our summer break, we're re-broadcasting our four-part Samuel Little series in hopes of helping to identify more of his unnamed victims; and includes interviews with a family member of Macon-area victim Fredonia Smith. We also speak with SAKI (Sexual Assault Kit Initiative) Task Force member Amy Hutsell, who has been helping to connect Samuel Little's Georgia confessions to the state's cold cases. Because a number of the Southeastern victims are either Jane Does or are currently considered "unmatched confessions," the public's help is needed in resolving their cases. Call 1-800-CALL-FBI or visit tips.fbi.gov with information.

The Fall Line® is an investigative true crime podcast focused on cold cases, unsolved murders, missing persons, and unidentified John and Jane Does in the United States. We deliver in-depth reporting and interviews with law enforcement and forensic experts, examining unsolved homicides, disappearances, serial crimes, and the evidence behind them. Victim-centered and research-driven, we focus on cases still seeking answers.

Show notes

The first episode in this four-part series looks at who serial killer Samuel Little is, how he got away with murdering nearly a 100 women over four decades, and provides scaffolding for the what's to come: an exploration of the more-than-50 Southeastern cases.

Missing & Murdered Indigenous Relatives: Carolyn DeFord, Part 3 Jun 16, 2021

Show notes

In the final installment in our series covering the life of MMIWG advocate and daughter of a missing person, Carolyn DeFord, we learn how the disappearance of her mother, Leona Kinsey, has shaped her current world--and work--and the crisis she sees in MMIWCR (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Children, and Relatives) cases; disappearances and murders are undercounted, underreported, misclassified, and rarely addressed outside action groups and specific political campaigns. Carolyn, and advocates like her, are changing that. And they need your help.
